"DO NOT RENT HERE. Run in the opposite direction. My son moved in August 2023 and the previous tenant paid her full month of August. We had to pay first month's rent to get the keys, so I was under the impression we paid September. I got a statement in September and I called to inquire and was told we paid for August..... I informed them that August was already paid for and they (A kid in the office named Kolby) spoke to the manager and confirmed both tenants did pay for August and one if them would receive a reimbursement. Here we are almost December and neither tenants have received a reimbursement. They took two full payments of rent from two students for the same apartment space! I went back and forth with a Samantha (financial supervisor) she refused to give out a reimbursement. Also THERE WAS AN EMAIL THAT WENT OUT TO ALL TENANTS THAT A DEAD BODY WAS FOUND BUT THST THERE WAS STILL A POLICE INVESTIGATION..... A DEAD BODY AT THESE APARTMENTS DO NOT RENT! -Jennifer"

"Alight Norman is the worst!!! Alight absolutely does not care of their tenants needs. Of all the student housing in town, this may be the cheapest available, but also expect to get cheap quality service from this place. They have robbed from me in so many ways besides financially. The management at this complex has changed three times since I moved in, but instead of bettering themselves they only get more chaotic. Please don't fall for this place if you want to live peacefully. It is not worth a single penny. Take my review as a suggestion and move on. There are much better options nearby campus!"

"Moved my son in on Thursday. We were delayed 5 hours due to maintenance issues. Then upon arriving at the newly scheduled time they were still cleaning the apartment so another 45 minutes delay. When entering the apartment the floor is all scratched up, the couch looks like it needs to be thrown away, their apartment was missing two desks, the air conditioner was leaking on the floor, the registers are covered in black mold as well as the drywall and the internet/Wi-Fi is not working. Supposed to have received the password for the Wi-Fi yesterday. Seems to be one thing after another and now can’t get anyone to answer the phone and asked to leave a message. Very dissatisfied with the process so far"

"Not a bad place to live. Apartment was really dirty when I moved in. Windows and fans and vents are covered in dirt and dust and dead bugs. Landlord special 101 with painting over hair, dirt, dead bugs, and even a pimple patch I found stuck to the wall. The drawers they gave me don't open all the way and my toilet was broken on move in. I have had inspectors on the patio without notice. We have an outside storage closet and a patio door, but do not have keys to either of them. There is a fee associated with just about everything. I am in a 3 bed, 3 bath and am paying the same amount as my two roommates, but am the only one without an attached bathroom. It was not made clear that I would not have an attached bathroom for the same price. Amenities are good. The pool and main office are nice. Free printing up to 30 pages a month. Picking up packages isn't hard and staff generally know what they're doing. When our front door locks were broken for weeks and our work order was deleted, maintenance was around to fix it the same day with new keys. The late night maintenance guy was super cool when I got locked out. Rent isn't the worst for the spacious room and closet, but I could not scrub hard enough to get it clean. Millennium or the Ave is way nicer for the money. *edit* Maintenance just came basically busting down my door to spray for bugs and I had absolutely no warning ahead of time. Scared me to death."

"This place is disgusting. Every inch of our apartment was extremely dirty and unsanitary. Dust everywhere, the air filters were black, the baseboards were brown, the ceiling fans were covered in a thick black layer of dust. They didn’t even attempt to clean it much less say it was sanitized. The window sills had dead bugs and cobwebs. Every single thing in the apartment was filthy. It is seriously a health hazard. Aside from the inside, the front of our building has trash all along the front, the mailroom is trashed with papers and trash everywhere. The cameras are filled with dirt and dust and don’t even work. The website says “gated community” but you guessed it, the gates don’t work."
