"We had a maintenance emergency on a Sunday night, we got a call back right away which was very very relieving! Derek knew exactly what he was doing and remained calm the whole time to complete the job. He even cleaned after which was so so kind. The past few times Derek has come out to us, he leaves us notes that are detailed and kind to let us know how he handled the requests. Seems like he really cares about his job and we see him often around the property picking up debris. He’s always working hard and doing something!! Living at the Icons is nice as well because they really don’t let the neighborhood get dirty, they office ladies are very kind and I’m very excited that they do events during the summer! The community looks out for itself especially for being apartments you get a very cozy home vibe."

"An excellent apartment complex on the edge of Norman! Far enough away that the area is quiet but close enough that most shopping centers are about a 10-minute drive. Excellent office staff, but the maintenance crew could be faster. They offer both long-term and short term leases. I would have loved to stay longer, but I found a place close to work I couldn't pass up. I only have two minor complaints: The first is that they have an exclusivity agreement with Cox Communications, so they are your only choice for internet service. Due to the nature of my job and needing a fast connection, this caused my bill to be $160/mo. The second is the gate remote they offer for an additional fee is an absolute waste of money. I can count on one hand the number of times the gate was actually closed during my lease. Overall, I would definitely recommend this apartment complex to anyone looking in the Norman area!"

"Leaving was the best thing we did. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. The first red flag here is the fact that maintenance is severely understaffed and maintenance request do not get done and when you point out to the office you have orders that haven’t been addressed they become defensive and the head of maintenance will have an attitude and tell you you’re the worst tenant on property. Yes he did this while I was on the phone with my work and my superiors heard it. First off we were on the first floor and we had 2 electrical fires in less than 24 hours. Both times the fire department were called. The second time the head of maintenance argued with the fire inspector saying that the fires were our fault. Our apartment was also broken into and the window latch and screen was fixed after over a month. When we called the office to inform them of the break in they didn’t even try to sound sympathetic. They basically said to put any physical damage in a maintenance request and hung up. Maintenance request get cancelled for no reason. Also to note if you do live on the first floor do not open your blinds because the other residents will rudely stare into your apartment at any given time. The ladies in the office are paid to look pretty and sell the units. Only once did they listen to our issues with some understanding and did stay late to try to catch who was essentially vandalizing our unit. But other than that none of our interactions with them have been pleasant. Especially the head boss Crystal, not one time has she been pleasant to us and the lady in the last office on the right with the tattoos has always been a peach especially if you disrupt her very important scrolling through social media on her phone. Also if you love to grill like we do then this is NOT the property. The grills need to be replaced. One takes over 30 minutes to heat up and the other does not hold a steady heat. Perfect example it took over an hour to grill 2 chicken breast because the grill won’t hold the temperature unless it’s over 500 degrees. It feels like you’re living in section 8, don’t let the gates (that are frequently broken) fool you, this place is far from secure and no one seems to care about the safety of the residents. So if you don’t value your safety, want to waste a ton of money every month, this place is perfect for you!"
