"I put items in the layaway went to pick up items and the items were not the same and the items were of a lesser quality and older products this is the second time this has happened with this chain the store on Admiral and 21 and Sheridan have done the same thing. You are supposed to have the same items but this is not the case with this company At this point I will never do layaway with this company ever!!! It was a Christmas present now I’m scrambling trying to find another gift !! I highly recommend never do layaway’s with this company!! You won’t get what you put in!!!"

"Five days before Christmas and I walked into Ez pawn feeling mediocre about my purchase of a PlayStation 5 I had on layaway with no controllers or cords or games. A staff member name Jules was so helpful and genuine about correcting my purchase and getting me controllers and cords with my purchase. I could not believe how amazing this Woman was. I went in hoping as a parent I made a good choice. Jules made me feel like family and that's amazing. I also purchased a refrigerator and she had all patience with plugging everything in and making sure it all worked. These gifts were for my children so it's so important to be the best Santa Clause on Christmas. I wouldn't recommend any other place but EZ Pawn. Also I found this was not the only location where she works. I asked where can I find her so I can come shop with her more. The experience today was so heartwarming and positive. Thanks for such great staff."

"I came in to EZ Pawn on S. Sheridan to pawn a very nice subwoofer from my home stereo system. They were very busy, and only had 2 people working. One employee locks the door at closing time (7pm) and asks all of us still in line what we are here for. I respond that I would like to pawn my sub. About 20 minutes later I make it to the counter. I plug my sub into the power outlet to show them it powers up. Next I'm waiting for them to hook up a line that will test the integrity of the bass to make sure the sub works. I'm told that I'm supposed to bring something to show them that sound comes out of the sub and it works. Now I don't pawn things all the time, in fact it's rather rare. I had visited their sister location at 61st and Peoria in the past and they didn't require the customer to bring this. The 61st location has the setup to test the integrity and the overall working of speakers and subwoofers for home and auto. The location at South Sheridan does not. I wasted about an hour and a half of my time believing that the same company would have the same policies and ways to check incoming equipment, but apparently I am wrong. If you are bringing in speakers, Amps, or subwoofers to the S. Sheridan location, make sure you bring something that will drive sound thru your device so they can see that it works. What a pain. A business like this should take note from its sister facility and other competitors and provide a means to test this type of equipment. It would make things go much smoother and save some time on both sides of the counter. Deuces."
