"Our wedding was an older crowd. We asked multiple times for someone that mould play country and older songs. I definitely did not to not want a disco.we had a lot of Two Steppers and line dancers coming so I had the Glass Chapel arrange the venue with a huge dance floor. We filled out a questionnaire with our song choices. We met with our assigned DJ and discussed line dances and song choices. He said he would help us with a few line dances if needed. I specifically said I did not want the crazy lighting and disco feel. The day before the wedding I got an email that the DJ lost our songs and had to spend hours filling out the questionnaire again. The day of the wedding I asked him if he had the songs and he said yes. As soon as the reception began the music was so loud you could not hear the person next to you. I asked repeatedly to have the volume turned down. Dinner did not include my song choices and was extremely loud. I asked the venue to ask him to lower the music. It was so loud some of the older crowd left early. Only after the venue asked for a volume reduction did he lower it a bit for about 10 minutes then it was back to concert levels. He would put on a song and then go hang out at the bar. The DJ could not read the room. Our song choices were either not played or played at the very end. Copperhead Road was the only line dance played and by then the night was ending. I specifically asked for Neil Diamond Sweet Caroline. I told him it was a must have (it had a reason) it was never played. I asked for Love Shack to be played It was our reception opener. He cut the song off half way as people were just entering the dance floor then brought down the energy with a pause and a slow song I specifically said that while our package included lights I did not want a disco feel but we had more lights at the end than song choices. Luckily in spite of all of that the rest of our wedding was absolutely amazing. I would highly recommend the Glass Chapel but I would never recommend this Lions Road. . If you use the Glass Chapel they do offer a choice to take the credit and hire your own DJ. I wish I had taken advantage of that option."
