"The one and only star is for the housekeeping staff which was phenomenal. The rest, abhorrent. Some background, I booked this hotel because it had across the street access to the ski lift, but come to find out if you are taking lessons at Park City you have to take a van over to that location or drive yourself so if you are taking lessons you are not using that lift. I was asked by the concierge helping us plan our trip if we needed transportation to a particular restaurant, but not the rest of the excursions which I had assumed was close and were not. I also would have appreciated some direction in planning like on the day of travel to not schedule the furthest excursion. On the day of our arrival we arrived at 2pm with dog sledding at 3pm. I asked right when we got there if they were driving us or we had to go ourselves. front desk confirmed they would pick us up between 2:30 and 2:40 for our 3pm appointment. 2:50 we asked them to confirm they were still coming. There was some kind of miscommunication and we were supposed to drive ourselves 45 minutes away. We were very lucky they were still able to accommodate us but in hindsight the pick up time didn't even correlate to arriving on time for our reservation which should have alerted front desk something was not right. On our way to dog sledding concierge asked if they could have something in our room upon our return for a goodwill gesture. I said a fruit and cheese plate would be great. Never came. I asked for them to send me how long it would take us to drive to each thing we had a reservation for. They never did. I asked them to change our dinner reservations for that night since we would be late after getting a late start. They canceled our alpine globe and rebooked an indoor restaurant reservation. When the restaurant left me a message asking to clarify, I asked concierge to call and confirm the alpine globe. They did not. After everything they offered a $300 hospitality credit. Are you joking? I was paying $1,600 per night for a suite, you have screwed up many reservations and not responded or delivered on promises and you want to give me a $300 hotel credit?! Awful experience. I will never be back to this hotel."
"My stay at Waldorf Astoria Park City surpassed expectations for the second year in a row. The exceptional customer service begins right from the moment you step into the lobby. The reception staff sets the tone with their warm welcome and efficient service, making check-in a breeze. Throughout our stay, the attention to detail and commitment to guest satisfaction were evident at every turn. From 3 to 5 pm, the lobby transformed into a haven for tired skiers, offering a variety of snacks and indulgent hot chocolate to warm up after a day on the slopes. It was the perfect way to unwind and recharge before evening activities. One of the highlights of our experience was breakfast at Powder , where Luis's attentive service made each morning memorable. His recognition from our previous visit was a delightful touch, and his genuine care for guests was palpable. Megan and the hostess also deserve commendation for their cheerful demeanor and dedication to ensuring guests felt at home. The exceptional service extended beyond the dining experience. The ski valet team was always on hand to assist with equipment and offer helpful tips for maximizing our time on the mountain. From providing water to offering hot towels, their thoughtfulness and professionalism were second to none. In addition to the outstanding service, the rooms were consistently clean and well-appointed, providing a comfortable retreat after a day of adventure. The daily provision of water was a thoughtful touch that added to the overall feeling of being well-cared for. Waldorf Astoria Park City truly sets the standard for luxury hospitality. Every aspect of our stay was meticulously curated to ensure a memorable experience. We look forward to returning for another unforgettable getaway."
"I wanted to try the hot cocoa bar but they don’t allow boarding boots in the lobby. I’ll try to go back next year. I think they will allow changing in the spa into slippers. That cocoa better be amazing! :)"
"Service was wonderful from check in until departure. Travis at Powder had great suggestions and crafted up some wonderful drinks. Located walking distance to a loft with great access to the slopes. The hot chocolate bar each afternoon was amazing and I looked forward to it each day. Staff was so nice and accommodating. Look forward to returning"
"Not quite sure how to rate my most recent experience. I’ll start with the best part. I had probably one of the best massages I’ve ever had with Devon. He took the time to understand what I needed and made suggestions that were spot on. Honestly think he may be one of the best therapists I’ve ever been to. I would highly recommend him. He and the rest of the spa staff are outstanding! The setting is lovely and peaceful. I’d rate Devon and the spa 5 stars plus. The next part of the evening, however, was terrible. I decided to go to the bar at Powder for a drink and dinner. There were 3 bartenders there who took care of everyone including people sitting on either side of me, but could not ask me if I wanted to order. I finally got the attention of one of the bartenders who proceeded to push a used water glass in front of me. I explained that I wanted a fresh glass of water and wanted to order a drink and food. He took my order and was gone before I could request a specific brand of bourbon or tell him how I wanted my burger cooked. The burger arrived very rare—-I would have ordered it medium well if I had the opportunity to do so. I explained to the person delivering my plate that I could not eat it and could I get a medium well burger. The bartender proceeded to loudly explain to the server that he needed to get a medium well burger for me. At this point one of the servers working other tables asked me if everything was ok and that my order would be out shortly. I did get a new burger but it was so well done it was inedible and the fries were cold (clearly they just sent back the original fries). I didn’t think it was worth sending the second plate back. The bartenders continued to ignore me, while taking care of everyone else at the bar. I don’t know why, but wonder if it was because I was a woman dining alone. The only person who bothered to check on me was one very nice server who went out of his way to speak to me. He was working other tables but realized the bar staff were ignoring me. I’ve been to this restaurant many times and dined alone at the bar. The bartenders who used to work there were wonderful, friendly and treated everyone well. The bar staff this evening were terrible and I’d rate them a zero."
