"You should all be warned that Patrick Burton- who is somehow in charge of some sports, stares at the young girls in such a way that we will never come back to redwood rec. He adds to the discomfort by injecting himself into these youth games and has blocked these girls from shooting. Be warned. Consider other rec centers that do not employ pervs."
"Took my kids here for swim lessons. The lifeguards/instructors are fantastic and so personable! My 3 year old son, who normally loves the water, was nervous/anxious for some reason and they made an effort to get to know his name and do all they could to try and get him in the pool. It took some time but eventually he did it! In contrast, we went to another rec center for swim lessons due to a scheduling conflict, and the lifeguards didn’t even compare! They were nice, but called my son “buddy” all week because they never remembered his name and didn’t even try to help him get comfortable in the water. Can’t say enough about what a good experience my kids, and myself, had here for summer swim lessons!"
"Kids had basketball games here. Coaches were so nice and motivating yo my special needs son. He felt included in the team and made new friends."
"Im not much for sports, but I enjoy giving my all when i try my hand at one! I tried really hard to keep up with the hoopers but these tall boys knew there was no point in passing the ball to this old 5'1". I did manage to dribble a few times so i think in a few years time i could consider coming back! Ill be stopping by big 5 to get myself a basketball so i can practice more "dribbling""
"The infield was pretty nice, but the outfield is pretty bad in spots. Players on both teams were jokes they were playing in a horse pasture. Probably because there is a horse pasture right behind the two fields, but really, they are not far off."
