"Too Long Didn’t Read Synopsis: 5 years ago in March 2019, I brought in a 1953 GMC Truck for restoration. Despite pre-payment, promised missed deadlines, I am still waiting to receive my truck. Full Story: In March 2019, I brought in a 1953 GMC truck to Wasatch Customs (Pictures on their Website/Facebook page and if disputed I will post screenshots). Mark Lambert and his employees of Wasatch Customs evaluated the restoration project, gave me a bid on how much it would cost and how long it would take. I went in and sat down with Mark Lambert the Owner to discuss everything in detail. Mark is a great salesman, and I was extremely excited about the restoration. I then prepaid for the restoration in May of 2019. Mark specifically stated that the restoration would take 4 to 6 months but 8 at the most. Throughout the process, I have NEVER heard from Mark or any of his employees at Wasatch Customs despite every deadline being missed. I am in shock at how poorly it is managed. The deadlines each time are set by Mark and yet Wasatch Customs has missed completion deadlines at least 7 times and then little deadlines like body work being finished, sandblasting, or powder coating the bed they have missed at least 30 deadlines. I have all the emails documented as proof and would be more than happy to post screen shots. Every 6 to 8 months, I send an email asking for a status update and only about 40% of the time I receive a response. Responses are usually a generic email of *we are making progress just in areas that are visible, you are next in line, we had so much work but yours is being worked on, we went through a rough patch of bad employees, Covid 19 etc. You name the excuse and I have heard it* In the June of 2022, after my email and certified letter were ignored, I met with Mark Lambert in person. I said what I would like… 1) My truck back/money that I prepaid or 2) You to finish the job. Mark the ultimate salesman vowed once again to work the weekends and do it himself while also appointing his best guys to do the job. That it would be finished March 2023. It wasn’t but he promised April 2023. Then when he missed it he promised May 2023. It didn’t happen. I have met with a lawyer multiple times but ultimately just wanted my truck to be finished. Nothing more nothing less but Mark Lambert and Wasatch Customs has 0 desires in doing so. I have held off on writing a review because I fear review retribution for my own personal businesses, but I have my reviews monitored and know my clientele so if anything does happen, I will know they are fake, and action will be taken."
"It has been two weeks since my last post on how bad Wasatch Customs is. Still no word from Mark on when he will be sending the $15k he still owes my Dad for selling his truck Please be forewarned"
"Stay away from this place! Similar to some of the more recent reviews, I’ve had Mark collect thousands of dollars from me only to have my project sit around for 6 years with a completion date nowhere in sight. Countless broken “promises” to have the vehicle completed and still no progress. It’s a complete joke how untrustworthy this business has been. My car is totally inoperable now. It was supposed to be a tribute car to my deceased father, which Mark knew and he has just taken money with no intention of completing the car. Stay far, far away from this place!"
"We brought in a 1953 GMC Truck for restoration in March 2019. Even after pre-paying, it has been almost 5 years, and the truck is not finished. I am writing this because: 1) Future potential customers should be aware. I hope I am the only customer that has been treated as such, but I really doubt it. 2) We pre-paid a substantial amount of money for a truck restoration that has yet to be completed and currently has no completion date because each year they are 6 months away from finishing. They do some work, it rusts, they sandblast it, let it sit and then it rusts again but they don't progress or do anything of worth. 3) We pre-paid a substantial amount for a truck that was supposed to be a part of our future business. We did this as an investment. Wasatch Customs knew this and made promises they had 0 intention of keeping. We have lost out on various business opportunities because the truck is not finished. Over the past 5 years, I had hoped that Mark Lambert at Wasatch Customs was willing to do the right thing and simply finish the truck. Instead, they give excuses, make unfulfilled promises but they seem to have 0 interest in doing what is right."
"Wasatch restored the chassis portion and the painting of the camper of my 68 ford RV. They are quite knowledgeable in all aspects of restoration. They are great at modification when needed and wanted. They didn't rebuild anything that was in good shape saving me $$$. They have a great team with great advice which helped me not make bad decisions. They were very responsive when working any bugs out upon completion. Highly recommend."
