"I met with Dr. Mawhinney. He was very kind and listened to me. He also worked with me to schedule my surgery before the end of the year so it would be paid for by my insurance. However, after I had surgery, I was still having a significant amount of pain 8 days post op. I contacted his office and spoke to his nurse, which completely dismissed me. He made sure to tell me that Dr. Mawhinney "does not do refills on pain meds at this point" at least three times during the phone call. As it said in my discharge instructions, I was supposed to call and speak to him if I had any issues and if my pain had worsened, which it had. I was given some lame excuse and told that I just needed to wait for my appointment to see him. I felt extremely dismissed and not taken care of by his staff. Sad to say, because he provided great patient care to me."

The other staff members kept me fairly informed on wait times and were willing and able to competently answer any questions I had."
