"Can I give more than 5 stars? How about 10 stars! :) I have been a patient here since March 2023- nearly a year- and this has changed my life. I have to say, as an anxious medic/clinician, I was pretty wary before I started. I had super high standards: the practice needed to be staffed by compassionate medical professionals who were trained and licensed to administer medication of this nature; I needed it to be clean, quiet, and private; and I needed to be able to bring a bit of myself- a pillow, a favourite rock, etc- to get comfortable, and I needed for that not to be weird! I wanted to experience a different state of being that could take me out of my PTSD, depression/anxiety, and fear, and help me find peace and tranquility within myself. And Therapeutic Alternatives is that place. It is THE place to come and experience the incredible healing modality which is ketamine therapy. First, the staff here are absolutely incredible. They are professional of course, but they are so warm and engaging and they help you feel immediately at ease. Angelina is so wonderful and sweet and is so great at connecting and helping you make arrangements for treatment, Candace and Austin are both SO so compassionate and helpful with answering any questions or concerns you might have, Guido is so gentle and kind and he makes you feel so cared for (he is also so passionate about what he does!), Marinella is so knowledgeable and instills such confidence in this process, Katherine immediately puts you at ease, I could go on and on. You truly feel like you’re part of a little community here, a little therapeutic family. They move heaven and earth for you to feel comfortable and be at ease; just after finishing my 6 series, I was injured in a car accident and they were so generous and kind with their time and staff when I needed treatment most. I will never forget that! They also offer staffed “integration” calls several times a week so that you can talk about your experiences and process the things that come up. And what else can I say except that this treatment has truly helped me heal deep wounds and has calmed the raging worst case scenarios and anxious thoughts; I use it as an adjunct to talk therapy and personal deep introspective meditation. In the world of emergency medicine you’re taught to always be thinking one step ahead, anticipating your next move, be ready…here you enter, get your vitals taken, get your music ready, get cozy, and you’re fully in the present while you experience whatever your mind needs you to. It’s a beautiful thing! If you are considering ketamine treatments, I highly highly recommend Therapeutic Alternatives. After these treatments, I feel like I can now rise above my anxiety and I have my happy little life back under control.
