"I recently visited Utah Fertility Center in Ogden for a HSG procedure, and I cannot express enough gratitude for the exceptional care and support I received throughout my journey. From the moment I made that initial nerve-wracking phone call, Melyssa (MA) greeted me with warmth and reassurance. Her genuine kindness and expertise instantly put me at ease, guiding me through the process with patience and understanding. Her dedication to ensuring my comfort and peace of mind set the tone for the entire experience. Upon arrival, the receptionist extended the same level of compassion, sensing my apprehension and offering words of encouragement that truly touched my heart. It’s these small gestures of kindness that make all the difference in moments of vulnerability. Meeting Melyssa in person only reinforced the genuine care she exudes. Her professionalism seamlessly transitioned from phone to in-person interaction, further solidifying my trust in the team at Utah Fertility Center. Sarah Nelson’s (NP) expertise and compassion were invaluable during the procedure. Her clear explanations and reassurance eased any remaining anxieties, allowing me to focus on the positive outcome ahead. It was evident that she, too, genuinely cared about my well-being. Throughout my time at Utah Fertility Center, every member of the staff went above and beyond to ensure my comfort and peace of mind. Their unwavering dedication to providing exceptional care and hospitality did not go unnoticed. I left the center feeling not only grateful, but also empowered by the support I received. To the entire team at Utah Fertility Center in Ogden, I extend my heartfelt thanks for your kindness, professionalism, and genuine compassion. Your unwavering support made a daunting experience much more manageable, and for that, I am forever grateful. Having such an exceptional team by my side during this journey was a true blessing. Thank you for making a difference in my life and the lives of so many others :)"
"My 13 year old daughter was diagnosed with cancer and this clinic helped us with her fertility preservation before she started chemo. The doctors, nurses, and staff were incredibly helpful. We never experienced the issues with being able to call and get answers that I have seen in other reviews. We had to travel to and deal with three different offices too. They made a horrible, uncomfortable experience for my little girl something she got through with no problems. We will be eternally grateful for the kindness and professionalism of the staff at Utah Fertility Center."
"Honestly it started off fine. But since doing 3 IUIs, Dr Gurtcheff suggested that our next step was a Laparoscopy. That was in May. (It’s January of the next year now) I have since been ghosted TWICE. After I reached out both times. Over the phone (which is impossible to get ahold of someone), the patient portal, and email. They will get back to me saying they need my insurance, I follow up with my insurance information and then never hear anything again. I follow up numerous times and am left with no response. Which is the most frustrating thing when you’re dealing with infertility. You’re already in a helpless vulnerable state relying on (and paying the hefty price for) fertility specialists and their team. UFC just can’t get it done unless they want money from you. Then you’ll hear from them a lot."
"I wouldn't recommend this clinic. Everyone (from the Dr to the office staff) was friendly, but friendliness can't compensate for the issues we experienced. First of all, it's VERY hard to actually speak with anyone on the phone. After being on hold for a few minutes, an automated voice tells you to leave a message - and then hangs up on you. I left multiple messages through the course of my time with this clinic, but sometimes there needs to be a way to actually speak to someone, rather than playing phone tag for days! We've done 4 rounds of IUI (with no success) with our local doctor, so we decided to try Utah Fertility Center. Through the patient portal, I provided extensive medical history, documenting details of our previous rounds of IUI. Dr. Gertcheff suggested we try more IUI. When we showed up for the initial ultrasound done prior to IUI, we paid the full amount of $1300, which is supposed to cover everything for the entire procedure (initial ultrasound, trigger shot, sperm washing, and the actual insemination done a few weeks later). I was surprised to hear the dose of Femara (the fertility med to promote ovulation) prescribed by the Dr. was a lower dose than I used for my previous IUI procedures done with my local dr. We've been on this infertility road for almost 3 years now and I know the lower dose isn't effective, having tried it already through months of trial and error. When I expressed concern about having to start again at square one, the tech simply said that if it the dose wasn't high enough, they'd up it for the next round - which would be another $1300. Why am I coming to the specialists, if they aren't willing to look at my history and BUILD on it - rather that start all over again? They asked me what pharmacy to call in the Femara and I told them the info. I was supposed to start the Femara THAT NIGHT (it has to be taken on specific days of your cycle). We drove straight to our local pharmacy (after along drive home from the clinic), but there was no medication called in for me. Their office failed to call in the prescription. The clinic was closed by this time. I called them the next day 10+ times, but could never get anyone to answer the phones. I also left messages, explaining their mistake and telling them we'd need to reschedule my IUI for the following month - because they failed to call in the medication to the pharmacy. I tried again the next day with no success - and then they were closed for the weekend. When I finally got to speak with someone the following week, she assured me she'd speak to the billing department and sort things out, since it was their mistake. The plan was to call them again when I started my cycle and we'd do it all over again the following month. However, I received a $900 bill the following week. How could they possible be charging me $900 when I had just paid $1300 the week before - and hadn't actually received the service? When I tried in vain to speak over the phone, I left a detailed voicemail explaining the billing mistake and telling them I no longer trusted them and wished to remove myself as a patient and be reimbursement for the $1300 I paid up front. At this point, I received an email, explaining that the $900 bill was for the ultrasound received and that I would need to pay it - despite the fact that it was THEIR ERROR that prevented me from receiving the already-paid-for treatment. I was also told that I would receive a call from their clinic director about my experience - I assume to sort out the billing mess and make things right. It's been over a month, and I've yet to receive a phone call to correct the problem. I was told in an email that although part of my $1300 credit could cover the ultrasound bill, I still owed $120 for blood work that was not covered. I paid the $120 bill today and still haven't received any reimbursement. Basically, I paid $1420 total for IUI - and never received IUI."
"Horrid experience. Dr. Peterson was condescending and uncaring, its extremely difficult to get a hold of anyone in their offices and there's never accountability taken. They will tell you their phones are "so busy" yet when you show up for an appointment the receptionist seems surprised to see you and is never on the phone. Would recommend to absolutely no one unless you wanted to be demeaned"
