Reviews
"I hate to leave bad reviews, especially when the important aspects of a company were great. My consultation and procedure with Tooele Urology went very well. Nice facility, caring informative staff, and good follow-up. THEN CAME THE BILLING NIGHTMARE. I opted for the cash up front option and paid for everything at the time of service. I was surprised a month later to get a notice from my insurance that they had ran the bill though them but didn't think anything of it since I paid up front. Here we are 9 months after the procedure, and I just received another notice from my insurance that Tooele Urology has sent the same bill to them for the FOURTH time. In the past 9 months I have also received 2 bills from TU's billing company for the full amount of the procedure I paid for the day of. I have spent several hours on the phone with TU's office staff, their billing company, and my insurance all for a bill that was paid for up front. TU's office staff does nothing but blame the problem on "having a bad billing company." Why in the world they haven't switched to a competent biller, I have no idea."
"We were the only ones in the lobby, and yet waited an hour before we were seen. "Dr." Niederhauser chastised us for not coming in every six months to see him. We found a great Urologist who is actually a doctor, right here in Tooele. Beware of Tooele Urology and the "doctor.""

"Had a vasectomy here. Professional people, but they only care about going home at the end of the day. I opted for the sedative pill, which I picked up at the pharmacy. The day my surgery came, I had a lot of things to do and drove myself to their office just in time. When I realized I had forgotten to take the sedative because I was too busy, I asked for the nitrous. They called the pharmacy to see if I picked up the prescription, which I had. I went out to the bathroom with an electric trimmer to quickly tidy up, because I was too busy to do it earlier. (Priorities, right?) Only now do I realize that they probably assumed I went to take the sedative, which I did not. The assistant and I had the nitrous on a comfortable setting before the doctor came in. During the surgery, the doctor (Curt) asked the assistant to put the nitrous on the lowest setting possible. A couple minutes later, he proceeded with a numbing injection on one side (the other side was already finished.) Now, I realize that a vasectomy is a "quick and easy outpatient surgery", but I am almost certain that this needle went somewhere it was not supposed to go, because the injections on the first side were so different. I immediately asked for the nitrous to be increased, which they did (slightly). I still have constant, shooting pains from this spot. I'm at the end of day six of recovery, and still can't do daily tasks like putting shoes on or sleep without significant pain, even following the advice given. I've been unable to work (or do anything). I'll notify the staff of my problems (because there has been no improvement), but I feel a negative review is necessary because of the assumption that the patient (me) was lying. They even called my wife to come pick me up, because they assumed I wasn't able to drive. Looking back, maybe I actually should have taken it."
"My son had his baby surgery. Everything with the drs went well and the surgery. All that is fine it’s the billing that is horrendous. They have you pay in full until they run it through insurance. Thats an issue that wasn’t told to us prior. Theyre lucky my wife had the money on her. They wouldn’t let her get the surgery without it. The refund will take 6-8 weeks. I wouldn’t recommend them. I don’t think there’s any circumstance that should require that. When they run it they know the cost and what the insurance will pay. It’s not magic number. Find someone else who take care of your baby and your pockets reasonably."
