"In the past I’ve had nothing but great things to say about Alta Vet Hospital, however my recent experience was quite the opposite. The staff who currently works behind the desk are unfriendly, unkind, passive aggressive and have poor attitudes. I called to reschedule my appointment and received confirmation it was moved to a morning appointment. When I showed up for my appointment the lady (short blonde hair with glasses, no name tag) said “I don’t see your appointment, who did you talk to when you moved it?”, I told her the person that answered didn’t give their name, but confirmed it was moved. She then proceeded to tell me that it wasn’t on the calendar for that time and the doctor wasn’t in yet (my appointment was for 9:15am) and he didn’t get in until between 9-9:30am. I asked if she could call him to let him know we were there for our 9:15am appointment and she was extremely rude and said “I can’t do that, he gets here when he gets here”. She didn’t attempt to help, problem solve or take accountability for their mistake. All she could tell me was “it’s a human mistake, we make mistakes.” I affirmed that although this is true, it’s still the facilities responsibility to correct their mistake and take accountability. She then found my appointment on the calendar and the only thing the person I talked to did was change the day and not the day + time. My poor cat had to take a drive for no reason to “come back at my appointment time”, which was later that afternoon. Needless to say I won’t be showing up for said appointment and I already have another appointment for another vet clinic. If the owner of the Alta View hospital reads this, I hope you take these poor reviews seriously if you care anything about how your business is being perceived and if you care about the people who bring their pets to you. I also highly recommend that you take a look at who you have as your front desk staff and brush up on your people skills as you need those too, not just animal skills. Bad reviews are an opportunity for growth and I hope you see it that way instead of blaming, becoming bitter and continuing to not take accountability for your poor attitudes and mistakes. *UPDATE* As you can see, their response is passive aggressive and I never asked for them to be “perfect”. They’re still not taking accountability and were snooty with their response. I did find another vet and I had a much better experience. If anyone reads this review or any of the other negative reviews, you’ll notice a common trend in the way the front desk treats people at Alta. They are unkind, unprofessional, don’t understand the meaning of customer service, and are very juvenile in the way they handle things. It blows my mind that any business would have people like this managing the front of house operations when they’re dealing directly with people. Do yourself a favor and avoid the Karen-like attitude of the lady running the front desk. **Here’s a bit of professional advice - when someone expresses a problem, or is unsatisfied in any way with how things are being handled, maybe try to NOT react like a pubescent child who can’t regulate their emotions. “Sorry we aren’t perfect!” is a ridiculous response and something a whiney tantrum throwing child would say. A professional ADULT response would look something like “We’re so sorry for the miscommunication and error on our part and would love to make this right. We appreciate your business and would love the opportunity to retain you as customers. Please call us as soon as possible so we can work something out”. See how easy that was?"
"Called Alta Vet last minute because my Doberman has an ear infection. They were able to get me in same day. Every single one of the staff was so kind and helpful. They took their time getting my rescue Dobie comfortable and gave him lots of treats. He felt right at home after a bit. Our vet, Tiffany Baird, was so thorough and helpful! I brought up a couple concerns with his skin, specifically his ears and she said she would do some research and get back to me. She even showed me the microscope slide from his ear test! Super neat!! I truly enjoyed each one of the staff and their kind hearts. The facility was nice and clean. We will definitely be coming back. Thank you for a wonderful, quick experience; Especially for the same day appointment!! We got lucky with that!And thank you for loving on my special boy too! We will see you all soon, but not too soon!!"
"If it was possible to give less at stars I would. I have 4 dogs that were patients of this office. I had a euthanasian appointment I scheduled for 3/11, low and behold when some one did not schedule on the calendar to the date I affirmed on the phone weeks ago. Someone's clerical mistake put my appointment 3/12. I know for a FACT I would not have made an appointment on 3/12 bc I work every SINGLE TUESDAY until 6 PM. Not only am I trying to send a senior dog off to the rainbow bridge, but I have another dog who is not doing well and I just wanted to know if they could take a look a him this afternoon. However, the rude woman who got on the phone, didn't even allow me to finish a sentence, let alone explain the trouble my beloved pet is having. I have 4 appointments scheduled by the end of March. From reading the reviews, they categorically do not care how they treat the human beings spend hundreds upon hundred of dollars at there office. I have had my animals in for surgeries, spades, shots, all the things. I am appalled at their horrendous treatment of a long time customer with many dogs. I have withdrawn my entire household from their care and will never step foot into their office again."
"When my regular vet wouldn't help me get in to see my sick cat for over a week I decided to go somewhere else. I found Alta vet clinic would see my sick cat the next morning. I found them so understanding and helpful. Thank you you have a wonderful staff."
"I’m beyond happy with this place!!! We left our 2 golden doodles for boarding for a week And all I’m getting photos of them both having a blast playing and running around the yard!! It is very nice to know that this guys are taking time to entertain our pets I’m not going to look around for another place because this was very pleasant experience for my doodles and my family! I recommend this hospital, boarding and grooming place to anyone!!!!!! See you tomorrow morning for pick up"
