"The birth of a baby is the single most important time in anyone’s life. The preparation for it is very important , from the mother taking good care of herself to a gynecologist who has the skills needed to ease her into child birth, making her comfortable and giving her a time frame for the birth. Dr. Arthur C. Nilson has none of those qualities. Having spent time at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, St. Thomas Hospital in London , and St. James Hospital in Dublin , I have to say that I am shocked at how this man behaves as a gynecologist. His assembly line approach to gynecology is disgraceful, to say the least , and quite honestly , he thinks only of himself and not the patient . Why any prospective mother would put her child’s , and her own health, in the hands of this man is beyond me. He is arrogant beyond belief and never listens, even going as far as completely forgetting names , due dates and charts. Why on earth would anyone have any trust in a doctor like that? So there you have it. You make your own choices , but I would not darken the door of his practice."

"Dr. Nilson was my doctor while I was in the ER and then my admitting doctor for a night. He was amazing. I mean he checked on me, and I was about to discharge and go home but he had the nurse stop me before I left and notify me that he REALLY wanted me to stay to make sure I was okay and nothing serious was happening. I stayed and was admitted. Nothing was majorly wrong but he was great the whole time. Only spent about 7 minutes all together with him but he won me over and made me change OB's! Very excited as a I found a new great doctor! Also, my bestfriend sees Dr. Sterling and says hes pretty great also!"

"Very arrogant and he put my son in the nicu. When I was 8cm dilated he gave me pitocin to speed up delivery (even though I had only been in labor for 6 hours) and then left the hospital (on a Sunday morning). When it was time to deliver he took 15 minutes to show up. I did not have an epidural so waiting 15 minutes to deliver was excruciating. When he finally arrived my son was delivered too quickly and aspirated. Dr Nilson is the reason my son ended up in the nicu. I would never ever recommend him to anyone. He was careless with me and my child."
