"UPDATE 2: To make matters worse, I also ordered some garlic knots and what I received was a disgusting assortment of almost raw pieces of dough. (See pictures) I will be fair and keep the original review below, but this place’s good standing fell off rather quickly for me. UPDATE: Knocking two stars off the service portion of this review due to my experience on 12/02/2023. This time I ordered carry-out and when I checked in, the guy at the counter told me in a condescending tone how I was 20 minutes early and that I had to wait until 5:50 PM. I said: “it’s okay, I can wait”. I didn’t mind waiting; it’s not like I stormed in to restaurant demanding my pizza to be ready, so I don’t know why this guy had an attitude. In the end, I didn’t even get my order at 5:50 PM, so this dude needs to chill about the timing of things, especially if their own wait times are not completely accurate. ORIGINAL REVIEW: Pizza here is AMAZING! I only ordered a large half cheese/half pepperoni pizza but even that was really delicious. I’ve tried several pizza places in the last few months, most of them with glowing recommendations, but I gotta say this pizza is definitely the best. Also, Fernando was a really cool and nice guy!"

"I’ve dined in and out of this joint for a long time and the food is always on point! My order is correct and always super delicious and tastes like a pie you’d get in NYC. The real issue with this great place is the service. You never know if you’re supposed to seat yourself or order at the counter. The workers seem really discombobulated at times like there’s no structure. I really really wish the service could match the quality of the pizza. I’ve waited up to an hour and a half for a to go order and even though that’s insane, I do it because I LOVE the pizza!"

"This is our favorite pizza place in all of Salt Lake, we used to live down the street in Millcreek and after two moves we still drive across the valley for this. The pies and garlic knots are delicious. The staff is great and we love that they offer monthly specials and our kids love getting their free mini birthday pizza."

"This place is a gem in the community. The dining room is quaint, comfortable, casual, and clean. This is a great place to meet a friend for lunch or dinner for really delicious food that for a great value. They stay quite busy, so it’s not the place for a quick bite. But this environment is more suitable for staying awhile and enjoying yourself (unless, of course, you called ahead with a to-go order—this seems to be a very popular choice for that). I would recommend Big Apple Pizzeria again and again."
