"I feel bad for the cook, but she painted the image of a pupusas with cheese/lorroco , and chicharrón. Maybe that is the portions that the owner tells her to put into them and then charged me more than $ 3.00 for using my debit card. First and last time I come here."
"Food was ok, but it took 25 minutes to come out and it was cold. It was authentic, but my friend from El salvador has made it so much better and he's no cook. The place was clean and cozy, however the service was just ok, besides taking a long time, we were never asked how anything was and we had to wait a couple minutes both to order and to pay even though we were only one of 4 tables with people. I would say overall it's ok but way overpriced."
"I ordered pupusas and tamales and both were excellent. I love the plantain wrapped Salvadoran tamales. They tasted like they were cooked with fire or possibly on charcoal. Delicious! I will for sure recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for authentic Salvadoran food."
"If you’re looking for Pupusas and El Salvadorian food in Salt Lake City , this is a decent place.Maybe they’re not the best Pupusas that you’ll ever try , but they’re good enough and they’re freshly handmade every day.I really like the Loroco one but the Chicken and Pork are very good too (specially the chicken one).Their Tamales are very good too , and I enjoy the Elote one due to its rich flavor.Their encurtidos for the Pupusas are good too. Their Maracuya drink (Passion fruit) is a must try for sure as well as their Horchata. Is located on a not very busy area of Salt Lake City and you’ll be able to find parking around. Service was splendid and this is why I give this place a 5 stars , due to the service and the freshly made from scratch food."
"Authentic Central American standards. Salvadoreñan pupusas with all the trimmings. Guatemalan tipica breakfasts with fried platanos and crema. Native Salvadoreñan soda Supercolashampan (tastes like bubble gum). Surrounding area looks dilapidated and outside it is painted a light orange hue, but that tells you the delicious treasure awaits you inside! Atol de élote (hot corn drink) will warm your soul and the thick tortillas will melt in your mouth as you use them to lap up your blended beans, seasoned perfectly! The sopa de res (beef soup) even had huisquil, a native squash! Give it a chance to be the different you seek. Natives & return-missionary approved!"
