"Had an early lunch here today. Staff was very nice and served well. My main complaint was the very small serving of salsa they gave you. Had to keep asking for more. The chips were not good. Almost seemed burned or overcooked. The queso was grainy. The menu was small with no lunch specials. Forced to buy a more expensive dinner portion at lunch time that I couldn’t even finish half of. Overall, I wouldn’t choose this restaurant again, but also wouldn’t not come if friends invited me here. So take that as you will."

"The best Mexican restaurant in Oklahoma! I've loved the food,the staff, and the atmosphere since shortly after they opened. I cannot say enough good things about this place. Ellie, Nini, "Mama", and everyone else have so much love for their guests and make it a joy to simply walk in the door. The Mexico City tacos are my favorite! Much love to you all!❤❤❤"

"My husband found this restaurant while I was at an appointment at Bailey Medical Center and we were pleasantly surprised by the quality and quantity! The food was fantastic, he had the steak fajitas and I had the California enchiladas with cheese. The rice and beans were great, the cheese sauce and guacamole were excellent as well as the chips, salsas, and tortillas. The staff was friendly and checked on us often, the restaurant is cute and cozy, and they were packed at 3:00 on a Friday. We look forward to returning!"

"The food tasted as good as it looks!! A cold blustery February day demanded a good hot plate of Chili Verde. This was our second visit to El Fogon. This little family owned Mexican restaurant continues to excel in food quality and service! A couple of years ago, we ate here a straight up 12 noon. The place was packed. What was noticeable then was that El Fogon is staffed sufficiently to crank out their tasty food for the big lunch time crowd. We had the Carne Asada and the Green Chili Burrito. Both excellent! Today’s visit was the Chili Verdi and an Enchilada & Chile Relleno Combo plate from their dinner menu. The Chile Verde was a large plate of filling, warming, delicious authentic chopped pork stew in a fire-roasted green tomatillo sauce. The huge combo plate was one ground beef stuffed enchilada topped with white sauce and one poblano pepper filled with cheese & topped with tomato ranchera sauce. Both meals came with rice and beans. Very flavorful, nothing bland on these plates! The salsas here are very good too. The red tomato based salsa has a little bite to it from the peppers, with garlic, chili powder and cilantro. The other sauce is a roasted pepper/tomatillo. Enjoyed them both. The service here is very good. The restaurant’s motto is “Everyone is Your Server.” They are true to their motto.
