"It’s a nice place but poorly managed. Here’s some suggestions: -Reduce your down times: the pool has been on and off broken for months -The turf area is priced too high. This has the effect of not monetizing your best space (and ~half your square footage) for the majority of time -The equipment mix doesn’t make sense; for instance, for the upstairs square footage, more than one squat rack is needed -Equipment could use a refresh: bumpers are circa 2005 -Advertise closures sooner and make sure open times on Google and the website match"
"If you do not need the pool, and are flexible with workout hours (don’t need early morning on weekends), Mercy is great. However, as a triathlete who works long hours and commutes, I chose this gym because of proximity to my home and the pool. Since I joined, the pool has closed twice, for significant periods of time (several weeks). It’s currently closed again. When I expressed frustration to management with how long/often the pool was closing and that I had to pay drop in fees at other gyms (much further away) to train, I was told that they would be willing to freeze my membership for no fee instead of the usual lower payment! (as if that was a generous solution). I still need the gym to run predawn and with snow/cold temps, so taking away my access to the gym entirely doesn’t solve anything. When I said that, the response was just “oh” (instead of being willing to charge less while pool was closed and still allowing membership access). I’m currently paying additional money to train 2-3x a week at Mitch Park and Stillwater YMCA pools in (perhaps naive) hope that I will get the Mercy pool back prior to my race. I understand things happen, but this is apparently a common problem with Mercy, and it’s happened for extended periods of time just in the 6 months I’ve been a member. Surely this can be addressed with (at MINIMUM) better customer service. I will be canceling my membership when I am done with my triathlon."
"Hello, Highlighting the issue that Google says your hours on Sunday begin at 7AM-5PM, and your website says that your hours are 9AM-5PM on Sundays. We arrived at your gym this morning at 7AM and were confused to find your doors closed. Recommend updating Google, as it is where most people are likely to look to avoid customer frustration/confusion."
"2 Year In-Depth Review: Negatives - Hot tub, sauna, and scales broken for weeks. This has occurred every few months for the past two years. Water pressure has been on low for 6 months. They used to have a sign saying it’d be fixed then they gave up on that and are pretending it’s normal (20s to fill up a water bottle). Gym machines breaking down appears frequent but only because it takes 3 weeks to get one fixed. Even though I never used the pool I always hear complaints about it. They spend thousands on electronic lockers nobody cares about. The financial director is on something else, over half of the issues are on them alone. To have a bit of a personal nitpick the music taste is always pop. The older audience doesn’t like it and neither do the males working out. Only caters to the younger female crowd, typically. The main reason I’m leaving is terrible hours. On holidays they take any chance they can to close the gym and to shorten the hours. I’m not just talking Christmas, literally nearly every small holiday but Halloween it’s closed. They’ll randomly have employee meeting days where they close. Also, the normal hours are worse than generic gyms like golds or the ymca. $60 a month by the way, the highest I’ve ever seen outside of LA. They’ll also charge random yearly fees or maintenance fees when the equipment breaks down and will make you pay it. Positives - Friendly staff and a friendly atmosphere. They have a large variety of equipment and ways to work out, assuming they all work. It appears very sanitary. Conclusion: Everything I’ve said here can be verified through other reviews, please check for yourself. I’d suggest only having a membership here if you don’t plan to use the pool, tub, or sauna. Expect to pay 2-3x more than the average gym for the exact same experience."
"Every single time I'm in Edmond - I visit Mercy Gym. I love it. One ask I’d have - is this possible to make a weekly guest membership? Since 12 USD per day sounds expensive :)"
