"Stay away, stay far away. I have had two recent operations at Oklahoma Surgical Hospital, OSH. The first one was for a total right hip surgery. Upon waking up from surgery, I had no hearing in my left ear and terrible tinnitus. I have been told this is permanent. One has to wonder what they did to me in the OR for this to happen. Also, they administered way too much anesthesia on me, and I had to go back to the hospital the following day as I was so sick and out of it. My second operation was simple thumb surgery. After that surgery I have terrible pain in my thoracic spine, through the right rhomboid, and trapeze and down my right arm. I've had to have five trigger point injections, two epidurals from Pain Management, I'm due for a third. Heavy-duty pain pills and constant physical therapy. In contrast, I also recently had abdominal surgery at Saint John Hospital. Everything was perfect and no side effects. My advice is go anywhere else but OSH. In fact, I think a veterinarian clinic would be better"

"I had knee replacement surgery yesterday with Dr. Christopher Browne and it was the best hospital/surgical experience I’ve had. All the staff are kind and amazing! I didn’t ever have to wait very long for anything. The nurse and techs answered my calls within minutes. I highly recommend OSH."

"I am shocked to see negative reviews however I have realized that we were in a different unit (Urology) than the negative reviews, at least the ones I read. We have had a PERFECT experience from start to finish! From the reception desk for check- in, the gentleman who escorted us upstairs to the surgical/family waiting area explaining each detail including restroom locations thru pre-op, post-op thru an overnight stay. EVERY staff member including the Urologist Dr Walters were very personable, professional, efficient, jovial and kind. The pre-op employee was perfectly suited for us as he asked if he could pray for my uncle before going into surgery and it was a beautiful prayer and very much appreciated. Our experience has been one that we HIGHLY recommend this hospital! Keep up the great work doctors and staff!"

"I had a really good experience with my surgery here. The staff are so wonderful, from the first person I interacted with to check in at guest services up to the person who assisted me to the car to go home, everyone was just great. I was very nervous about my procedure, and the entire staff treated me with patience and compassion. They were very thorough making sure I understood exactly what was going to happen during my surgery step by step and understanding what to do for aftercare, and I truly felt like they cared about me and wanted me to be comfortable. Should I ever have to get another surgery, I wouldn't want to go anywhere else besides Oklahoma Surgical Hospital. I would recommend Dr Shockley, his PA, and the whole surgical team to anyone. Between the top notch customer service and knowledgeable and compassionate healthcare providers, there's a reason they have so many awards here."
