"Argosy is a great place to live. Its a community feel and the staff makes me feel safe and at home. Amazing location cause everything is nearby. Look forward to living here for a long time."
"Dirty when I moved in had to clean everything. Dish washer had a pool of water. Management is really difficult to contact. The landlord is hardly in her office usually in her apartment. People leave their windows open during 90 degree weather so if you like it cooler then that expect to cool their apartment also. The AC is very old and inefficient expect 50 to 60 dollar electric bills besides 30 dollar gas bills and that's with your AC set to 78 when you're there and 84 when you're not. Everything in the apartment is very cheap or old. My fridge stove and countertop were original from the 70s. The blinds were as cheap as the could possibly find. If you want a screen door you have to pay for it and the apartment keeps it when you leave. When I moved out I left the apartment in good condition much cleaner then when I moved in but I was charged 56 for cleaning. Very doubtful they cleaned anything. I was also charged 85 for carpet cleaning even though most apartments consider that normal wear and tear. Not the worst apartment experience I've heard of but there was much to be desired. Also as someone else noted if you wash your clothes at the apartment expect to put them through the dryer a few times. The washers and dryers are terrible. I ended up taking my clothes to my girlfriends apartment. Oh and my car was broken into when I lived there along with this other woman who told me it was the second time her car had been broken into. The apartment also didn't do anything to help correct the problem or install more lighting or cameras so if it happens to you you're out of luck. Don't park in the back lots if you don't want your car broken into and don't park In the center lot if you don't want your car to get hit. Just don't have a car."
"I live in a one-bedroom apartment with these people, and the management is atrocious. I have worked rotating shifts at the two jobs I've held in Lincoln, and the management is unwilling to have a meeting with you outside their hours of 9 to 5. If you work 8 to five, bad luck. If you work night shift and are supposed to be asleep, even if you walk in first thing in the morning, Holly is most likely busy with something and she says she won't be able to even meet with you until later on. Sucks, especially if you have questions and need to renegotiate your lease. The maintenance people are also snippy. I have been having on-going problems with the dryer in my building, and when they told me that there was nothing wrong and it should be drying properly, I told them even the smallest loads my parents' dryer could handle better (and theirs is smaller and older, mind you). Everything comes out musty, damp, and smelling like the sweat and grime you're trying to wash out, no matter how much detergent you use. You also run the risk of burning your clothes, even if you use the lowest setting. Bras that went in white came out a weird beige color, and parts of the elastic melted. If that isn't a misbehaving dryer, I dunno what is. They also haven't updated the pricing information on the laundry machine. So if you want to do a complete load of laundry, they say it'll cost you $2.25, but it'll really cost $2.50. Or $4.50 if you send your clothes through again and again to make sure they're completely dry, if they're not crispy after the first go-round. Laundry with Argosy is a con to gyp you out of the most money possible - when it comes to coins and replacing your linens. The infamous rec room I've heard so much about? They said that was in the main building where Holly's office is. I've tried both knobs into that hallway, and they practically fell apart in my hand. I know people live in the second floor apartments, as I've seen a cat and a television going whenever I come home, but the only way I can see people getting up there is through Holly's office. So a gym or pool? Ha! Seems all these people are into is scamming people these days... Also, the concrete ramp from the street into the parking lot on the West side will do a number to your front fender, axle, and tires. They really need to shave that down. This parking lot is also poorly positioned, considering where the light is. It's barely one car's length away, and if you're trying to turn to go down 52nd Street, you end up blocking all three lanes. Quite the awkward situation when you're trying to go out to dinner, go shopping, or get to work in one piece."
"The layout of the apartment is really nice ,but the 1 bedroom apartment lacks storage and the windows leaks really bad. On the positive side, the layout of the apartment is great and there is free cable and there has been a lot of updating that has been done inside these apartments. Argosy Apartments has laundry Rooms available on every floor and there is a 24 hour club-house for working out. For the price of the Apartment, you can't beat the location. I would give this Apartment a 3.5 star out of a possible 5."
