"I have been living at Saracen Courts for almost one year now, and just signed my second one-year lease. I am still surprised by the amazing deal I found here. I moved from out of state, and had initially been hoping to find an apartment building that was not corporate-owned, as they tend to be expensive, unfriendly to pets, and impersonal. I'm so glad I applied for a lease at Saracen Courts, because they are none of those things. These are clean and renovated apartments at an affordable cost. My apartment had all new flooring throughout, as well as a brand new refrigerator. The corporation also invested in security cameras on the front and rear of all buildings, protecting tenants and vehicles 24/7. They also provide FREE high-speed internet to every apartment, something you simply do not get anywhere else. And Saracen Courts is completely pet-friendly! The maintenance manager is the first friend my dog made in Vermillion, and loves to see him on our walks. There is nothing about living here that smells of corporate greed. It seems more like a gift to the community of very diverse ages and backgrounds that live here, some for a few months, and some for many years. The onsite management team are hardworking, professional family-oriented people, that are continuously striving to make this place better for everyone. The grounds have been kept up all year, and during the winter months, snow removal has always been fast and thorough. I've never had any major problems to report to them, but the one or two minor issues that have come up were handled within a matter of hours. I think this is a little gem in the city of Vermillion, perfect for lower income people or those looking to save money without sacrificing cleanliness or safety, as well as students, seniors, and pet lovers!"

"DO NOT RENT HERE! This complex is under newer managment so disregard the previous reviews. This place is now a hot spot for criminal activity (felons and drug dealers live here) in most apartment blocks. The landlords do not respect tenants rights and will just enter your apartment without any notice (police reports were filed from many tenants regarding this and even when spoken to by the police continued to not notify tenants). Don't bother going up the management ladder either because they are disrespectful and will direct you in circles when trying to figure out what they are trying to do to your apartment.They also do not enforce their own lease so if someone parks in the parking spots you pay for, they will not help you. They also do not answer the phone if you call after business hours so just wait until morning if you have an issue. Current tenants, don't bother cleaning your apartments when you leave. They're just going to charge you to clean everything anyways ($35 for refrigerator, $45 for cupboards, $35 for drawers, $30 for countertops, $10 for the sink, etc. which were all wiped down before I left). They also charge $10 to replace a smoke detector battery in a smoke detector I even wrote on their move in form I couldn't open because someone jammed the compartment shut. Moral of the story here, literally rent anywhere else! I would give them no stars if I could."

"I have lived here 71/2 yrs it's a nice quite place to live and safe our new managers are very persona able and go try to understand each of the circumstances that a raise people are very friendly it's close to everything as well many of the tenants have been here more years than I have and its pet friendly too!"

"Had an apartment there from October 2011 to July 2012, while my fiance was finishing college. The best part of the stay was the management; Judy and Leland are not only pleasant, but very accommodating and kept the facilities clean. While our lease was officially over in May, they allowed us to stay two additional months, to the end of July, so that we could get everything into place for relocation, which is a plus for college students who may not have a job immediately out of college. While the building itself isn't the newest thing on the block, the construction is sturdy and, in my opinion, extremely energy efficient. The fact that most walls are made of cinder blocks helps keep the heat out in summer and in during winter. The only major downsides were that we opted for a single bedroom apartment, which are exceptionally small. I'd suggest for two people, even if you plan to sleep in the same bedroom, to get a two-bedroom, which is substantially larger. Our neighbors were also fairly loud, but that has less to do with the building itself then where we happened to be."
