"Stayed here in September 2023. The cabin was clean, and the breakfast served was very good. Staff were friendly. It was nice having breakfast at the campground as options nearby are limited."
"Wonderful cabin. So cute and clean. Staff was so incredibly friendly. Had a great time playing the mini golf course. The hot breakfast on Sunday morning was delicious. We only stayed a night because we were just passing through. However, we plan to come back soon and stay a whole week here and make it our base for a Black Hills vacation."
"My son and I stayed for 2 nights. Quiet, amazing star gazing sight. Spots are a little uneven due to being in the hills, but nothing that isn’t unmanageable. Staff was super friendly. Nice pool that we got to swim in for a bit. We also were able to grab a nice breakfast before hitting the road, biscuits and gravy, pancakes, eggs, and bacon. Would definitely stay again"
"We were there just as the their season was getting underway. This campground is under new management and they are doing a great job of getting the place put together nicely. If there was a criticism it would be that the work campers were occupying the best spot in the campground. I am sure that will be corrected in the future. The place is very well manicured and the bathrooms / showerhouse is clean. A very short drive to Hot Springs, South Dakota and only about an hour from Mount Rushmore."
"This is actually my second stay at this KOA, the first time, summer of 2022, I was in a tent site traveling by motorcycle and this year summer 2023 traveling with a small camper. 2022: the "old man" that checked me in was super helpful. He made sure my spot was quiet and that I had what I needed to make sure my bike didn't sink into the dirt. My tent site was clean and flat, the drive to my site was less than flat. Would have been fine in a car but on the bike it wasn't much fun. 2023: "kids" working the counter were helpful and friendly. Hanna was particularly helpful and friendly and knowledgeable about the area. I chose a back in site for my teardrop camper so that I wasn't against the road while I'm trying to cook at the back of it. It was close to the bathroom but didn't have excessive for traffic. It was quiet with everything being just a short walk away. Electric, water and cable hookups were available at the site. Normally cable isn't a concern but on the 100+ degree afternoons, I appreciated being able to cool off in my air conditioned camper and not be totally bored. Bathrooms were clean and the showers were okay. The store was helpful with necessities that were forgotten along with other things you might want. Early this morning I had a group of turkeys cross my camp. Interesting to see!"
