"The food at the Smiling Pig was FABULOUS! The owner, Tim, smokes all the meat in a huge smoker out back, and they make all the Barbecues in house, which were all very tasty! The Brisket sandwich was great! And the Chef, Bryan, has a talent for what he does in the kitchen. The food he suggested and cooked for us was fire!!!! And the atmosphere was cozy! We will definitely be returning!!!!"

"This is a relatively new place having taken over from the previous restaurant so we stopped in. It's off season and snowing so now as lot of people there but the bartender was very friendly and joked and talked with us. We had Bloody Marys which were homemade and very good with horseradish. We also had the chicken fried steak, tacos, and brisket. All 3 of us enjoyed our meals. The barbecue was really good and they have 3 basic sauces all of which were good. I would definitely stop back here again."

"My buddy Bob took me to the smiling pig and I'm so glad he did. Lori was our awesome waitress (have her make one of her Stupid tasty Arnold Palmer's)and accommodated a special order that I like at barbecue joints. Alex in the kitchen took my idea and made the perfect sandwich, we named it the Darren, it's a brisket sandwich with a touch of pulled pork coleslaw and I add onions and jalapenos on top. Alex liked the idea and said he might just put it on the menu so if you go in ask for a Darren and Alex will twist you up a delicious sandwich. And if enough of us do that it just might end up on the menu it'll be worth it trust me. The brisket is beautifully juicy and Deliciously full of flavor the pulled pork is too. I saw somebody eating a chicken fried steak that look pretty awesome, I'm going to have to try it next time. I'm originally from Texas so BBQ is like a religion to me and the Smiling pig is now one of my favorite churches!! Service and food make it worth the trip here!!! P.S. the scenery is awesome too!!"

"Roadside BBQ with excellent food. The sausage sample is fantastic.. They have cheese injected into the sausage that really adds to the flavor and also, the smoky flavor is top notch! But that was only the appetizer.. The entree was a Bison Burger and this was just a shocker. They added a little pork sausage to the Bison burger which really adds a great smoky flavor to the patty. To top it of it is an excellent Cole slaw with the perfect amount of horse raddish and pickles.. ohh and it is HUGE! I am a pretty big eater.. this burger is massive.. 5 stars all the way for this gem in the middle of country Colorado!!"
