"Upon arrival, I immediately used the restroom facilities. I had to "go #2." After relieving myself, I discovered, to my dismay, that there was no toilet paper left whatsoever in the men’s restroom. Somehow, awkwardly, and miraculously, I transferred myself to the women’s restroom without a mess, where I was able to utilize the toilet paper to finish my business. I then returned to my companion at a table, where I tried his “140” degree latte, and it surprisingly scalded my tongue! I deduced that the latte was, at the very least, well over 165 degrees Fahrenheit. We then made it known to the baristas that our tongues had been scalded. The baristas, later, without an apology, remade the latte, informing us that their temperature gauge was indeed broken. They proceeded to get a new temperature gauge and made and served a new latte at a lower temperature, which was acceptable in taste. Later, about 37 minutes into our visit, I rechecked the restroom facilities, and the men's restroom was still completely void of toilet paper! I then observed that the employees, comfortably lounging in chairs, had still not replaced the toilet paper for the next guest. In my humble review, I received absolutely despicable service!"
"During my recent visit to Enchanted Grounds Coffee off S Colorado Blvd, my anticipation for a warm, inviting cafe experience was unfortunately met with disappointment, leading me to a two-star experience. The latte, which should have been the highlight, was alarmingly burnt, reaching a temperature near 170°, detracting significantly from the anticipated comfort a well-crafted latte usually provides. Despite the staff's effort to remedy the situation by remaking the latte to a more palatable 140°, when I expressed my gratitude, the response was dishearteningly disengaged, with the barista not even making eye contact, which further emphasized the overall lack of warmth and connection during my visit. This oversight in preparation mirrored a broader neglect I sensed throughout my visit, especially when my friend encountered an entirely avoidable inconvenience: the restroom was devoid of toilet paper. Such basic lapses in hospitality essentials starkly highlight a deeper issue of attentiveness and care for guests, which seemed to be missing. Moreover, the sight of employees disengaged and absorbed in their conversation, rather than attending to the ambiance and needs of the cafe, added to the sense of neglect. It felt as though the warmth and engagement one seeks in such spaces were overlooked, diminishing the overall experience. Even after we brought the absence of toilet paper to their attention, disappointingly, 40 minutes passed without any action taken, as the staff chose instead to sit back down and resume their conversation with each other, underscoring a disconcerting disregard for guest comfort and basic amenities. However, it wasn’t all devoid of charm. The board game area within the cafe presented a delightful oasis of creativity and engagement, offering a communal space that radiates the potential for connection and joy. This niche, despite being priced at retail value, stood out as a testament to the cafe's potential to foster a vibrant, engaging community hub. It underscored what could be possible if the same attention to detail and care were applied across all facets of the establishment. My experience prompts a heartfelt suggestion to the management: to ignite a sense of passion and attentiveness in their employees towards guests. Ensuring basic amenities are in place, like regular bathroom checks, and fostering a culture of warmth and acknowledgment can transform a simple cafe visit into an enriching experience. It's about nurturing a space where every individual feels seen, valued, and enveloped in the genuine care that forms the cornerstone of memorable hospitality."
"This is a super cool coffee shop. The people behind the counter were very friendly. My coffee was good, nothing spectacular. We came on a weeknight and it was fairly busy. I love that you can reserve tables for free for various types of groups/games. The store has a huge selection of all types of games from classic to fantasy to role-play, etc.."
"Everyone is super nice here!! Not a big selection of food at all. And just you’re average coffee place except for that it is a gamers heaven!!! People are quiet and in their own little worlds, which is perfect for this kind of place. So many games and puzzles and super unique! Will definitely come back."
"Really fun cafe and game shop. They have loaner games and if you ask for the list you can choose what you want to play. We played, Just One, and Carrcassonne. Both were really fun. I had a delicious strawberry milkshake and my friends had coffee. Perfect low key Friday night."
