"We went here for my wife's birthday dinner, and they made our occasion absolutely perfect. This is the old LoHi Steakhouse, but they made it much more spacious feeling on the reopening. They also purchased the next door place that I think used to be a bakery, and Jacques will be making it an event or large group or something room. Noah made us feel welcome at the door, and Jerome was on point from the moment we sat down at the bar. We sat at the bar until our reservation, and they have some really good HH drink and food specials to check out. I got a craft beer for $6, and martini's were $10. Both reasonable for the atmosphere and food you are enjoying. We ordered the pate at the bar, and it was mouthwatering. Kathy was our server at our table and she gave us perfect service. Efficient and welcoming. I had the burger and I have to still think about where I rank this one. Very high. It is a perfect serving size and has fantastic taste. Note that if you are one of those people who judges a burger on size than this won't be for you. I found it perfect. Wife got the steak and frites and the steak, per her, was "some of the steak I have had at a place in quite a while." She ordered it rare plus, so you know. I agree that it was fairly awesome. They had a fried egg aioli that was ridiculous. I also want everyone to be on the upcoming brunch alert, as I assume they will be rolling out some more awesomeness. Cool area with everything from other bars and restaurants to dive bars. Definitely recommend and see you there."
"We had girls brunch at Jacques for their first official brunch service on Saturday. The cocktails were amazing - the mini espresso martini shots were especially tasty and so cute! but the cucumber cocktail is dangerously good. We split a bunch of mostly vegetarian dishes since two in our group don't eat meat. The french toast was the perfect amount of sweet and citrus-y, the avocado toast was gone before I even got a bite, the Boursin omelette was decadent, the tator tot sticks with caviar were such a fun treat (and the only way I want to eat tots from now on) - and the Caesar salad I could eat every. single. day. Our service was fantastic and we're already planning our next brunch date!"
"We were surprised how much we enjoyed their Broccolini! Classics like Pâté or Mussels were tasty and well executed. I’d agree with other reviews that the menu is very predictable and frankly a bit boring. There wasn’t a dish that stand out or that we haven’t had 100 times already. Wish they would bring some new, exciting French dishes. I’m yet to find a French restaurant in the Denver area that serves a good stew like Bouillabaisse or Beef Bourguignon. Maybe that could be Jacques direction?"
"My husband and I had a wonderful dinner here. Our server was knowledgeable, attentive, and friendly. The food was outstanding! The mussels are a must-get item. We also loved the escargot served in the puff pastry. Pricing is reasonable for the quality you receive. And the atmosphere was great, bustling and high-energy but you are still able to have a conversation without having to yell over the music. Great addition to the neighborhood!"
"Food is well executed but extremely unoriginal. Cocktails were solid. The main course menu has only four or five items, one is scallops, one a burger, one steak and fries. No specials. Relatively standard basic French appetizers. While they do a good job on what they present there isn’t enough variety to bring me back for a second visit. Safe place to bring the relatively unadventurous to dip their toes in the most basic of French cuisine. Not for those who want a deeper exploration of what French food has to offer. Nice ambience but would benefit from some sound dampening."
