"Our daughter rented here for 3 years, and it was a good experience overall. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and happy to help out where they can. Bonus it is a short walk to campus."
"I had Mia and she was amazing!!! She was so sweet and really helpful and answered all my questions:)"
"I highly recommend living at U Club on 28th, with its close proximity to campus and great amenities living here has always been a breeze. Building staff and management has always been very helpful and Iv had only positive experiences. With so much to love here you won't regret staying."
"For student housing you couldn't ask for anything better! The tenants are all very friendly and the staff is extremely helpful. Ailee is always seen with a happy smile on her face and always seems to care about who she is talking to. For my son's first year living on his own, U Club on 28th is a perfect housing choice!"
"Mixed feelings about the U Club; I'll start with the positives. Pros: - Fairly quiet and calm place to live; of course, this depends on your neighbors. I see reviews complaining about parties, smell of pot, etc. C'mon guys, you're renting from a college apartment complex. Live further from campus if you don't want parties in your building. - As far as apartment gyms go, they have a lot of good equipment! - Great proximity to campus. - Maintenance requests are filled quickly. I see a lot of reviews about bursting pipes and requests not being filled. I'm sure its true, but never happened to our unit. - The overall atmosphere of the complex is great! - Thermostat was always working and minimal water/power outages. - View from the rooftop garden is hard to beat. - Study rooms were really nice! Sometimes they're fully occupied, but that's to be expected in such a large complex. - Square footage was enough for four college guys. Plenty of room in the kitchen and large counters. - Great Wifi connection when its up. Cons: - YOU LOSE ALMOST ALL OF AUGUST, but pay for full rent that month. You can't move in until August ~20th, but pay the full moth's rent that month. So add $100 to the monthly rent for an accurate estimate. Sure, this is clearly stated in the rent agreement, but there's something to say about transparency. I'd expect to be told this very clearly; in my opinion they avoid discussing it. A full 1 star deduction for this point alone. - The front desk staff is really hit or miss. MOST of them are extremely friendly and want to help you as soon as possible. Other times, you get rude employees with no urgency that clearly don't want to be working. Honestly doesn't seem to be much in-between. Thank you to the employees that are good at their jobs! - The mail room gets locked after the office closes. Seriously? I get a lot of mail, so this was a big con for me. I worked 9-6 during the summer, and essentially had to wait until the weekend to get any of my mail. Seems like a mail room that requires resident key for entry would be a better setup. - The Wifi seems to go out at least once per month; made Zoom classes difficult at times. Comes back on within an hour. Not a huge deal; go for a walk. - I didn't park in the garage, but its true that the door was broken for months on end. My roommate had his bike stolen out of the garage during this time. I wouldn't be happy if I was paying for a spot. - They recently added a device limit to the Wifi. Really cheap move in my opinion. It took all my smart devices offline and I couldn't get some of them reconnected. Ended up setting up my own router as a workaround. - Honestly, this place is somewhat overpriced. ~$1,200/mo would be fair rent in my opinion. All in all, I'd recommend this place to a friend. I enjoyed living here for 2 years. Sure, there are some aspects that need improving. It's a little overpriced, but most things in Boulder are! When reading the reviews, just remember that some people love to complain. Sure, you might have to follow up to get a work request filled. Sure, a front desk employee might be somewhat rude. Buck up and be more proactive instead of sitting back and complaining. If the U Club lived up to 95% of what they promised in the tour, all you're going to hear about is the 5% they fell short in these reviews."
