"I cannot recommend Blue Sky Lofts and Timber Ridge highly enough. I initially rented from them back in 2019 and chose them for the affordability and amenities. Not only were they great on paper, but they were even better upon moving in. The management, staff, and maintenance crew are highly responsive, resolution-oriented, and extremely caring overall. They treat you like a real person living in a real home. Your mileage may vary depending on your experiences to date, but the down to earth living and basically all-you-could-ask-for spot with a pool, gym, and parking, provided me with the ultimate living experience in Boulder. Maybe I am damaged goods after renting from Four Star—stay away and don’t touch with a 10-foot pole—but I still believe this truly is the place to be. I wouldn’t hesitate to rent from this place for the rest of my life, if my circumstances would allow. If you’re thinking about it, DO IT and you won’t be disappointed! This is an entirely uncompensated/unsolicited review, by the way."
"FRAUDULENT SQUARE FOOTAGE LISTED! On their website the published square footage is approximately 40-65% larger than the apartment actually is. Floor plans are published with dimensions - if you calculate the square footage from these you will notice a large difference from the listed square footage. When I called to ask about this I was told the square footage calculation INCLUDES UNHEATED OUTDOOR PUBLIC WALKWAYS in front of the apartment, where the apartment opens into. This applies to Blue Sky Lofts and Timber Ridge apartments, which are managed by the same leasing office."
"Lived in the Blue Sky Lofts for about 4 years. The only inconvenience was that the power kept going out in my apt because I was drawing too much current. I was just running my AC and computer at the same time to make the fuse box trip (There is no AC so in the summer this was a must, especially on the top floor). A serviceman came in to see what was wrong and found that every outlet in the apt except for the one in the kitchen ran through a single fuse so whoever originally wired the building really didn't know what they were doing (It is an older building, just renovated). This was easily fixed by just hooking up the AC to the kitchen outlet. Other than that and what matters most to me is a friendly and reasonable management which this place absolutely has (Unlike the 4 Star Realty trash Corporation=Avoid them at all costs). This place has some of the kindest and most communicative management in Boulder. They also have 24 hr security that has helped me access the laundromat after hours when I left clothes unattended and handled noise complaints very well. It is pricier than other places, but you are paying for location (just a couple blocks from main campus and 6 from east), amenities (Excellent service and security) and avoiding the headache of crooked managements which in itself is enough to justify the price when going through a stressful degree. When I moved out of state, they took out a small and reasonable amount of my deposit to replace the carpets and clean the apt I left. I lived in 4 different places during my 6 years in Boulder and I can confidently say this was the best place by far."
"I lived here for less than eight months. Let me tell you it’s the best apartment of the ones I’ve lived before. The management staffs are incredibly friendly and helpful, especially Rachel. They made living here an amazing experience. I would say the studio unit is a little small and old, but it’s enough space for one person. But the management killed it! I recommend BSL to everyone who wants to avoid management bs!"
"I've lived here one year in one of the studio apartments, and it's been great. The few minor maintenance issues I've had have been dealt with promptly. The people at the office are also professional and helpful. Sometimes the water temp in the shower varies slightly while using, but honestly, if that's the biggest problem in your apartment, that's not bad. Also, despite this being a mostly student-y complex (I'm not a student, so was a bit worried about that), the noise levels are surprisingly quiet. All in all, I'd recommend this complex to anyone needing a basic, drama-free, relatively affordable place in Boulder. (Yes, it's not the cheapest, but it's affordable compared to other studios I looked at in the area)."
