"I agree that parking and monthly charges are unacceptable, but I also want to share the horrible move out experience for new and existing renters considering this property. They scam the renters with artificial charges at the move out process worth almost 700$ for stuff life deep cleaning the apartment, painting of the apartment etc. We left the apartment really clean and had the videos and photos to back it up. These upkeep charges are not allowed and I had a long back and forth where I never agreed to the charges. However, instead of correcting and removing the charges, they sent a deb collector request. At this point, I am too tired to fight their artificial charges and will be clearing out the payment, but I just want others to be aware that they will trouble their residents even after the move out. The property manager has responded -- They have agreed to be more transparent about the move out costs. However, to be clear, as per the law, this is not an expense that should be added universally as the landlords are NOT allowed one to charge for normal wear and tear. We spent almost a week leaving the apartment clean, even going to the step of really making sure the apartment was spotless. However, they charged us for repainting the entire apartment, clean up of entire carpet and deep clean. This is not allowed since rental properties are expected to degrade over time and there is no rule that says the prior renters have to bear the cost for it be at the "show ready". If this was allowed, the renter companies would be able to charge anything and everything. Moreover, I did not appreciate the threatening behavior of the rental company by sending a debt collector whereas I never agreed to the charges and repeatedly contested them. I really hope that the future residents take note of this and avoid getting scammed."
"Do not live here. No, you will not have better luck than this. Parking is an absolute nightmare. There is no where to go and they are missing like half the legal parking spots we need. Their solution is to send us "hey dont park illegally!!" emails every 2 days. I've gotten tons of tickets and towed because of random construction across the street. There are never legal spots, especially after 5pm, and you WILL have to park illegally, since there is no where else around to move. My car was booted in my own PAID parking spot. Staff does not answer calls nor are they in the office when I go by to talk to them. We've had unsafe incidents and the staff did not care at all. Also it's super expensive for what you actually get."
"My 5 stars is all due to Ms.Milan in the front office! Her customer service and attention to detail is like no other. You can tell she is committed and genuinely cares about the renters she’s working with. I am so thankful that she was able to make the leasing process seamless. She’s very knowledgeable and just all around outstanding. I can honestly say she’s the best leasing agent I’ve ever encountered."
"Buckle up. As you can read in a lot of other comments- parking is horrible. BUT they are taking it to a new level. We had an issue with our rent auto-payment and instead of informing of us this issue, the first “warning” we received was an email that our parking was revoked. After they sent that email they then proceeded to tell us that our rent payment had not gone through via a demand for rent or possession notice. I tried calling the office and got no answer, so I ran over, and they had decided to close early. The following morning I got ahold of them and they informed me my parking (that I had to wait months for) had been permanently revoked due to new policies… These new policies, as confirmed by Alexandra (the manager), are in an effort to give new residents the opportunity for parking. So basically, instead of being honest with new residents about the parking situation they are telling half truths about waitlists and first come first serve, in order to secure new lease income and meet quotas. All at the expense of existing residents who already pay and arm and a leg for their spots. Not having enough parking is not the issue of the staff, as they say they are “at the whim of the city”. It is the matter in which they handle the situation. Strict booting policies, revocation of assigned spaces, and dismissive management is a failed approach to dealing with an obvious issue. I would give a one star, but the property is beautiful and my neighbors are wonderful. The staff used to be great, but they are constantly being cycled through probably because they are sick of being constantly fielding complaints from residents regarding sleazy policies. I’ll step off my soapbox now."
"So far so good! Jared was our leasing agent and he made the process seamless and exciting! He made sure to answer all of our questions promptly. We were approved the same day we applied. On move in day, there were welcome gifts waiting for us on the counter and our maintenance requests (small stuff) were responded to with urgency. The maintenance supervisor, Emilio, is AMAZING! Extremely hard working. Even though the maintenance team is currently understaffed, he hustles to get everyone taken care of with a smile on his face. We are so grateful for Emilio! The community has been so welcoming, our pup has enjoyed making new friends, and so have we! The amenities are always spotless as well. Also, so far all of our guests have been able to park in guest parking with no problems! We are happy to be apart of the Mysa community."
