Reviews
"I was hooked the minute I walked in for the tour. The movie has some great moments and provides a current snapshot Hammond Candy now as well as a historical review. It’s unbelievable that some of the the same equipment is still being used today! Loved seeing the factory floor and all the candy making activities as well as the packaging area. The candy store at the end is magical! Thanks!"
"Enjoyed our free tour! Definitely need to get reservations in advance, they seemed stressed until I told them I had a reservation. It was quick and simple. Kind of hard to hear in the first room, but we enjoyed our free candy cane samples at the end."
"We just moved here and I surprised my kids and booked a free candy tour here. We had so much fun. The store was super clean, the staff was friendly, and there was a huge variety of different candies and treats. I cannot wait to go back!"
"The Hammonds Candy Factory is a great place to visit and see where their candy is made fresh. I've personally done the tour a couple of times and it's always fun to see. However, our visiting inlaws are visiting in town and we wanted to take them there and the tour times on their website is wrong. So we missed the tours and they will have to wait for their next trip here. Also found out that you have to call ahead 24 hours in advanced, which was not mentioned either. And, oddly enough, their candy and products are cheaper at the grocery stores than at the factory source. But it's still a good experience if you make it."
"We scheduled our tour in advance, which I would recommend. It was short and simple, but it really hit the point of how much work goes into candy making, most of which here is still done by hand. We went on a weekend, so several departments weren't on that day, but still plenty to see. There's lots of history and hard-working people here. The staff was generally friendly, and at the end of the tour, we received a free sample. Candy prices were reasonable and a lot of variety to choose from. Kids loved it, and the tour is free."
