Loop Thrift shop

"I consigned clothing with them a couple of years ago. I came with two large bags of clothes- men’s and women’s. Many of it was new with tags. The woman suggested I look around while she looked at the clothes. When she was done she gave me a bag back with some clothes. They were out of receipts so she grabbed some paper with their logo on it and wrote my name and signed her name. She never itemized the clothes she took. I saw my clothes in a pile with other clothes and I wondered how she would know what was mine. When I got back to my car I wrote down everything I could remember- multiple pairs of men’s jeans with tags, men’s banana republic pants, men’s bonobos trousers, women’s Lucky sweater, sorel winter boots, etc it was over 20 items. I called back when she told me to and she said I made $50 and Venmo-ed me. No receipt. No information of what they took, what sold and what was donated. It all felt extremely sketchy and I haven’t returned since. In hindsight, I should have spoken up at the time. It was my first time doing consignment with this shop so I trusted their process. I have done consignment with other stores in the area and I have always received a list of the items they took and how much each sold for and the percentage I received. Hopefully things have changed since I was last there."

"I found a new weekly place to stop by. Wonderful consignment store. Small but full of high quality goods. Patagonia jackets and fleece. Prada bags. Lulemon. I had ordered a new pair of Sorels but found the same pair in used but amazing condition here! I immediately returned the brand new ones I had ordered. Can’t wait to come back and see what other treasures I can find. Only problem is no dressing room but I’m sure they can figure out an area. pS. Owner is amazing and super helpful."
