"I am local and I went without power or heat during the huge snow storm. As soon as a room opened up Jennie went above and beyond to get us a room asap. Fortunately my landlord fixed our power and heat so we ended up not needing the room I will always recommend the 6 & 40 motel to anyone looking for a room. Five star customer service."

"The room was small and not up to par. Initially she was going to charge me $100 with a $50 pet deposit, but while on the phone with my daughter she waived the $50 pet deposit fee for my small dog. I was thankful because everywhere else was booked or not pet friendly and I was tired. They definitely take advantage of various factors for considering them for lodging. I was on my way to Vegas and will never be in that compromising situation in that town again."

"We called up last minute to book a room at this place and the owners were very accommodating and helped us out. Most importantly the area is amazing. Idaho Springs is one of the prettiest towns I visited on my road trip around the USA. It has everything you need and it feels very homely. The time of year we visited probably was not the best, as it was -10 degrees Celsius and very icy but it didn't change how beautiful it was. Jenny was so very kind and went into our room an hour before we arrived to put the heating on so it was warm for us when we got there. The room itself definitely could have done with some work, especially the bathroom but it really did have everything we need. It had a TV, a fridge and a microwave and also came with free parking. Combining the beautiful area, the affordable room and the kind and accommodating owners, this place easily receives 4 stars. It would definitely be heading towards five stars if any renovations or works are planned for the future."

"Very pleasant motel! A classic 40s beauty being renovated with care by Jenny & her husband. Rooms have been cleaned, renovated & updated. Wonderful experience! Personally and professionally managed, clean rooms/bathrooms, soft pillows. Plus a pine tree bordered rushing creek to relax by. I will return."
