Horseshoe Black Hawk

"Rooms are way overpriced, our room never got below 75 degrees so it was uncomfortable. The shower was broken, the ice machine on our floor was also broken, was told housekeeping would bring us ice from another floor and they never did. The casino itself is overpriced, 15 dollar minimum tables, never saw a waitress and ended up having to just buy a drink at the bar. They had a band playing which was way too loud and honestly the band sucked too. The valet also gave me attitude when I didn’t tip him for doing his job, so later on when we returned valet told me there were no spots available for valet, so I drove past 20 open valet spots. Ended up going down the street to Saratoga and had a MUCH better experience. Save your money, don’t stay here."

"The entire time there was a mechanical disturbing sound turning on and off. It was probably the elevator, however we were not told about it and had we been told about the constant noise, we would have requested a room without the noise (shouldn’t have to do that). Awake all night, unbelievable. Room temperature and heating/cooling unit didn’t do anything, I do not recommend this hotel."

"Amazing time here. Great slots and table games. The restaurant and grill have great food. The rooms are comfortable and affordable. This is worth the money for the stay. Cigarettes are 20 dollars so buy before you arrive."

"Loved this when it was Isle of Capri, it use to be a great value for the price, with extras you couldn't find anywhere else. This new company took over and has removed the jacuzzi tubs from the majority of the rooms leaving them only in the suites, greed. And the many of the extras are gone as well, and the amazing crab leg buffet is gone. At least the lodge is now doing crab legs."

"After booking a last-minute trip to Colorado, the Horseshoe Blackhawk was a great find in a beautiful area of mountains just an hour west of Denver. As a Caesars Rewards member I always an appreciate a comp and was treated well by the staff. The room was very clean and had plenty of space. There was a large shower and counter space in the bathroom. The casino isn’t massive, but had plenty of gaming to choose from. I can’t wait to return!"
