"I stayed in the trout cabin and it was just perfect. I could see the beautiful river and mountains out my bedroom window. Property was easy to get to and so clean and tidy. The owner made us feel right at home and had great communication. I will definitely stay here again."

"This resort has been wonderful since day one of being here. My fiancée and our Rottweiler have been staying in the newly renovated and upgraded Colorado Farmhouse and it's been a very comfortable and quiet stay. The house is great and the space has been good for us. I am so happy to know the owners and so happy to know about this great place for future visits. All the cabins come furnished with stainless steel appliances, spices and pans for cooking as well as food storage like plastic wrap and gallon storage bags. The beds are comfortable and the showers are always hot! The owners are on site and always available for anything you might need, although they do a very good job at making sure your stay is well equipped with everything for a comfortable stay without needing to call on them :)"

"Just a warning, the “refurbished farm house” is nothing like the cabin pictures on the website. Looking out your front door is a dumpster full of trash, the kitchen sink view is the side of a shed and the bedroom view is a backhoe beside a hole full of trash! There are no pictures of this farm house for a reason. Very dirty inside, mouse droppings on kitchen counter and inside stove. No washer and dryer. We came for an extended stay to hike and get away we are not afraid of dirt but when you don’t have a clean place to eat or wash your clothes after hiking why advertise that you do! We were very disappointed, it looked amazing in the pictures and no response from the owners to resolve it was even more disappointing!"

You can tell that the hosts have taken every opportunity to make this a really special place for your next vacation, or even for a quick, romantic night away from home. You can literally sit on the river and roast marshmallows while enjoying the serene river environment and stunning nighttime stars. Conveniently located minutes from town, this place is just far enough away to give it a secluded feeling of peacefulness. The cabins are both comfortable, classy, and clean. River Nest Resort is definitely the place to stay on your visit to Silt, Rifle, or Glenwood!"

"Amazing place. The hosts were extremely helpful and accommodating. Everyone at the resort was very friendly and made us feel super comfortable while still being very respectful of our privacy. Our kids loved fishing on the property and swimming in the a clear river right outside our cabin. Great proximity to Glenwood Springs. I would highly recommend this resort to anyone looking to spend some time in the area. We hope to be back again in the future."
