"My girlfriend and I stayed for 4 nights and 5 days, this was the best B&B experience we've had yet. The room was clean an orderly when we arrived and John was very helpful answering any questions we had about the area or what to do. They have a happy hour every night with a few local beer selections and a red or white wine as well. The breakfast served every morning was phenomenal. Will definitely be staying there our next time through Ouray."

"John is the most warm and welcoming host out there, and we can see that there are so many little details that went into making the space what it is now. From our room which was extremely beautiful and cozy, to the shared living room and upstairs space with a view, you can’t go wrong when staying at the Black Bear Manor. It was also our first time spending the holidays away from our family. We spent Christmas here, and it was the best choice. The little town of ouray is gorgeous and we will be back for another round at the karaoke bar. Last but not least, John makes an absolutely killer breakfast and takes allergy concerns into consideration. Thank you John. We can’t wait for our return trip!"

"The wife and I had a great four night stay.Our room was very accommodating and comfortable for our needs. John our host was very friendly and professional. He also makes a delicious breakfast. We never walked away hungry. The common area was fun to hang out in for happy hour. We had a great time getting to know others that were staying here. Also up on the 3rd floor there are amazing views. You can go up there to relax, play games or just hang out. The room is full of different games and books to read. Overall, a great place to stay. I highly recommend the Black Bear Manor. We will definitely be coming back."

"Great experience for our first B&B stay and first visit to beautiful Colorado!! John kept us informed about a small issue with our room prior to us arriving, which ended up working out. He was there upon our arrival to greet us and made sure to answer any questions. It was nice to just be left alone to our room and enjoy our personal, quiet stay, which was what we were looking for. John made a great breakfast every morning that shouldn't be passed up, very enjoyable and filling to start your day off right. He was very nice in offering suggestions for the area and helping us plan our what we wanted to see and do. The rooms are very nice and relaxing, and have anything that you would need. The location is perfect to walk to downtown for shopping or a meal and enjoy the weather and scenery. We very much enjoyed our stay and Ouray is definitely a very nice area to visit and stay in with plenty to do or take it easy and get some R&R. Thank you very much for our hosting out vacation!"
