"Saddlehorn Campground was a surprise, first time, just outside Great Junction, CO. off I-70 in the Colorado National Monuments area. On the top of the mountain range overlooking Grand Junction. The road getting there is challenging, keep your eyes on the road. But campsites are nice and surroundings where great also."
"Clean bathrooms, beautiful views. We didn't get to stay long but it was great. Our site was level but you just pull off the road to camp in many sites. (On the reservation it says parallel) which means your head is close to the road but it was an easy park for the camper."
"Classic National Park system campground, with water, restrooms (no showers), no electricity and no dump station. As such, it meets all the expectations. And, as part of the National Park system, you get to be in a place that is magical. This campground sits on top of a mesa with a view down below of the towns of Fruita and Grand Junction, spectacular!! I have been to a lot of NPS campgrounds, but this is really unique because of that. Beautiful place!"
"Arguably one of the best camp sites I’ve stayed at. Running water with very clean bathrooms, dumpsters, and best of all an amazing view. Handful of spots still available despite arriving on an August Tuesday night at 8:30pm without a reservation. Fairly good privacy bn campsites although some are more tucked in than others. We stayed in a sprinter van and the ground was very level. One of the most epic drives up to the campsite and made for a perfect place to ride bikes from. $22/night + the park entry fee. Well worth it!!"
