"Terrible management and treated us like criminals or something. Highly recommend anywhere else the days inn next door was just as bad ."

"The business goes by a different name. They lure you in with the Travelodge name but do not honor prices advertised on Google maps - the person at the counter said they don't honor third-party advertised prices... lol."

"This hotel is a puzzling mix of nice and "dear god we might die here." It is currently operating under two names - Ville 718 and Travelodge. The property is in a good location with restaurants in walking distance and a grocery store just a couple of minutes away. The staff was nice. However, the person working the overnight shift was wearing street clothes rather than a uniform or some other identifier to show he worked there. He also seemed was more interested in hanging out with his friend in the courtyard rather than assisting customers. That said, he was a little shy but very kind. The property has a mix of affordable housing (cheers to Grand Junction and Travelodge for giving people a safe place to live at a decent price) and hotel. The hotel rooms are in the process of being updated. The room we were in seemed to be about halfway done - the floors, bed, and sitting area were awesome! The door hadn't been sealed yet, so we got lots of debris and bugs sneaking in through the cracks; the light in the bathroom strobed like it was at a rave. (Yes, we did let the management know about the issues.) In general, the property was maintained, but you can definitely see the areas that are in need of a little attention. Two things that I absolutely loved were the feral cats (lots of notched ears) being cared for and the "totem poles" made of ceramic items with inspirational says on them. Overall, this is a property that is in transition with lots of potential. It will be interesting to see how it looks in a year or two."

"The room was clean enough but the desk chair was falling apart. Bed was as hard as a rock. Shower hot water handle was busted and hard to adjust. Water constantly changed temperature in the shower, from cold to scalding. No fan in the bathroom. The front desk was always empty. Always had to ring a bell and wait. I think the host was playing video games in a back room. Location was not great. Just far enough aqay from everything to be inconvenient, but close enough to be reasonable. Bad housing in the area behind the hotel."

"Honestly, this hotel may be one of the worst I’ve ever stayed at; if I could ensure it closed its doors and never saw the light of day again I think I would. My girlfriend and I drove 7 hours to this hotel for a wedding, and it looked somewhat good on the outside. However as soon as we walked in, there was this long haired man at the front desk who asked for a $100 security deposit up front if I was staying at the hotel. I told him I was checking in and tried to make friendly small talk and he just rolled his eyes. He sounded annoyed I was checking into the hotel that he works at. He overall was just really rude and honestly was the worst hotel staff member I’ve ever had any interaction with. Horrible customer service from him alone. But then, when we went to our room, it was in bad shape. Our window had cracks and holes in it. The walls had stains and bumps, the carpet floor was covered in dark stains and sticky marks. The bed mattress had hair and some crumbs in it, thank god, no bed bugs that we were aware of. When we took a shower, a piece of some sort of used tissue went down the drain that had been left on the tub. It was disgusting. My girlfriend and I had to go across town and purchase sleeping bags and a blanket to use to sleep, because the mattress was so gross. It made me super bummed out how our room was so bad, because total it would’ve cost me $315 for two nights there and we’d driven 7 hours to such a bad hotel room and such horrible customer service from the guy I mentioned earlier. We cancelled one night and chose a more expensive hotel option for our second night in town, which honestly was worth it. The other employees were excellent, and if it had renovations and restaffing I’d consider staying there again if there was an emergency. I’m still awaiting my refund for the second night and security deposit. I trust I’ll get it because the manager I worked with in the morning was friendly and understanding but once again, I highly recommend the termination of the long haired man who worked for the hotel. He was rude, annoyed by the customers mere presence (even the other customers I saw before me when I arrived), and not helpful at all in regards to a refund or being friendly. Anyways, I wish the best for them and I hope the good employees get paid more for their customer service and friendliness and I hope the rooms receive the funding and opportunity to be fixed, renovated and cleaned up more. It has potential but if you are passing through or in Grand Junction, I don’t recommend this hotel based off the gross room quality and the one bad employee if you see him."
