"In 7th grade I came here from a 1A school, and adapting was not easy. 8th grade was a little better because I had friends but meeting so many new people showed me the true side of this school. It seems like the staff always takes the bully’s side in a bad situation, and when you have a problem they will find almost any way to put the blame on you. There also always seems to be a drug problem and a lot of the kids here were just terrible. I’ve experienced the staff’s stupid games and I would stop taking their word about the school and start asking students who experience all of it. Bullying definitely doesn’t concern this school, you go through everything alone, so if you have to go here, make some close friends that will help and support you because the staff won’t."

"I had gone here for one year..and I want to leave. The staff did nothing to stop bullying, which is a huge issue at Deer Creek. Students were suspended for accidentally breaking things, being dress coded, and being falsely accused of things, but they were never suspended for the bullying of special needs kids. Not only that but bullying is school wide. Most of the students here want to harm themselves due to bullying, not just from students but from staff as well. Nothing is being done and the only thing the students can do is leave, which is what I'm doing. Things need to change. So before enrolling your student, I would ask the students instead of the teachers about this school, because the students have the learning/social experience. So thanks so much for the experience. Crying everyday at lunch, some days spending class time in the bathroom just to hide from peers who bully, pretending to be sick for days at a time so I don't have to face the people, waking up every morning with no expression, no excitement, no motivation, not a care in the world about education because the people are so terrible, and the amount of people who may even have it worse than me. It doesnt matter how many times one thing is reported, the bullies will still be "under their radar". I feel very strongly about this, so please take my message into consideration. Good luck to those who go to Deer Creek, and I hope you have a better experience than I did."

"Go here, don't go to falcon, I don't regret a thing for enrolling here from a falcons n feeder school. It has an awesome band/jazz band program as well as a great STEM program with many cool electives like robotics"

"This school is great and I thoroughly enjoy it. The STEM program is fun and challenging and the band program here is amazing. I would definitely recommend going to DCMS. The only thing is I think there needs to be a longer lunch/recess period."

"I love Deer Creek. Although I've only been going here for a year I've already met a ton of great teachers and students. The STEM program here is amazing! The Problem Based Learning assignments are fun and challenging. The teachers in 6th grade STEM are wonderful help you with all they've got without doing the work for you. The electives here are amazing as well. Pre-Engineering, Band and Orchestra, Cultures and Commerce. All AMAZING! I would recommend this school for anyone with a desire to learn and be challenged."
