"Dr. Fischer was compassionate and knowledgeable in caring for our senior dog with several new health issues over the last several months. In June, we signed up for the annual care club senior wellness plan to cover both medical and dental needs, which seemed appropriate at the time. After receiving the initial blood work, our asymptomatic dog was found to have hypothyroidism and potentially Cushings disease. As a result, we had to receive follow up thyroid testing after starting the medication, which cost an additional $170 for 1 test. Furthermore, he needed an abdominal ultrasound before he could be cleared for a dental cleaning due to another abnormal lab (again, asymptomatic and a senior).The dental exam found that he needed dental extractions, which we agreed to. All of these issues arose in only a few months. We paid several thousand dollars out of pocket on top of the preventative plan to account for the thyroid testing, ultrasound, and dental extractions. Unfortunately, within 6 months of signing up for the membership our dog was found to have cancer in his spine and we had to put him to sleep. This all came as a surprise because our dog was seemingly healthy before injuring his spine that week. His mobility was great and all of his other issues were stable. Since we have used enough of the services on the plan we have to continue to pay almost $200 per month until June on our now deceased dog or pay for the services up front. I would not recommend using the Care Club Plan. We also experienced some issues at the end of our dog's life, including issues with pain management as we were determining the extent of the issue in his spine (the xrays were atypically abnormal). We had to fight for extra pain medication over the phone with Dr. Wesley while our dog was unable to walk and was in severe pain. We were asked to bring him in again just days after his xrays suggesting cancer while the xrays were being read by an offsite radiologist (for an additional $200), instead of prescribing a few days of pain medication to get him through. Within 48 hours of this call for more meds, we had a home vet come to put our dog to sleep. Our dog was suffering and we were unreasonably being asked to put him in the car and transport him to the vet (for another exam?!?!) instead of offering grace, dignity, and comfort during those difficult times. I am disappointed with the palliative and end of life care management at VCA Parker. I feel that some of the staff are highly compassionate and helpful, while others are the opposite. Lesson be learned to purchase pet insurance. There are truly no other options for affordable, conservative care."

"Back in November of 2023 my dog had passed away. He had been to VCA before and so I decided to contact VCA about having him cremated. I paid for a private cremation so I would recieve his ashes as well a paw print. It took over a week to get his ashes back when they had said it would take 2-4 days. During the time I was waiting they said they would update me on his ashes but they never did so I ended up calling them. That’s when I found out his ashes wouldn’t be ready for another 2-3 days from when they were supposed to be ready. When his ashes were available for me to pick up, they left a message in my voicemail, “Hi this is [employee’s name] from VCA Animal Clinic in Parker. I’m just calling to let you know that Harley is here and ready when you’re ready to come pick him up.” Not the greatest verbage to use when someone has lost their best friend and is still grieving. Once I recieved his paw prints I was extremely disappointed because they had mispelled his name which was engraved on the paw print. His name was spelled right on everything else and I had given them the correct spelling multiple times. I called them several times and left a message about this and they never got back to me. If you experience the loss of your beloved pet, please do not bring them here. Bring them to someone else who actually cares."

"Worst experience! My dog broke his front leg at a tough joint. Set up an appointment, drove from PUEBLO because they quoted me 3600 for a surgery. They called me 2 hours later to pick him up, that they couldn't do the surgery and charged me 1100 when i got there to pick him up. They rescheduled me for 5 days later, called me the evening before to cancel."

"small clinic but this is my vet of choice for my dog. they weigh my dog everytime and he’s got a cute baby photo as his profile picture. there’s an app to track treatment and milestones. the doctors here took care of my udon the first time i came in for a general check up. the next time i visited they gave him his vaccines and we were gone in 15 minutes. very straightforward and efficient. there were free germ-x samples in the lobby. thanks so much!"

"We recently adopted a kitten. After a few days she had developed an eye infection, so we took her in. Thankfully I was able to get an appointment that day. The vet did a full checkup and found she did have an eye infection and ringworm. The vet, tech, and staff were very nice and so helpful in explaining everything. They were patient with all my questions. Highly recommend!!"
