"So I left a review on PetSmart after a grooming session and that review had one extra star. (You can go read the full review under the store reviews.) But a little update to that, they ruined my Aussies double coat!! I was concerned with doing a deshedding treatment since she’s under a year, but they told me she would be fine. Well, she’s not. She no longer HAS a double coat. Her fur is completely damaged and thin and is no longer shiny or soft. After a week out of being groomed here, she is no longer her normal fluffy shiny self. I feel like such a bad dog mom because I KNEW I should’ve listened to my gut when I initially dropped her off! Also I mentioned this in my original review, but they cut her in two places (one isn’t photographed), which I understand can happen. But they didn’t tell me it happened, I noticed it once we got to the car. One is so deep it’s scabbing over and she doesn’t want me touching her there. First photo is from last night (a week out from grooming) and you can see in the light how damaged her coat is on her neck, second photo is of one of the cuts the day I picked her up, third photo is before her grooming session when she still had her full coat, 4th photo is today after 2 minutes of light brushing (first brush since being groomed.) This isn’t typical blowing coat/losing puppy coat. For all the other problems I encountered, please go see my other review on this store locations page. PLEASE listen to your gut. If the groomers act like they don’t care to hear about your pup or your concerns when you drop them off, just walk out! Oh and to add, I told them that she slips on the floor and I specifically wanted her paw pads taken care of.. they were not. If they were, it wasn’t well enough because she still has long hair in between her pads in clumps.. so obviously not shaved down. And her paws fur is still super long on top. I want to take her to a reputable place to finish what I wanted done, what I PAID FOR, but her coat needs a break so now I’ll just have to wait it out longer.. smh. $100 after tip down the drain."
