"Dr. Gibson is the vet I have always wanted for my soul dog Rue. It took a serious health diagnosis to find her, however my husband and I are still very grateful. During Rue's 8th year of life, she was diagnosed with Stage 2 Kidney Disease. With annual preventative bloodwork already a part of our wellness regimen for Rue, we we're blindsided, shocked, heartbroken, and devastated. We will never give up on our Rue, and accepting this diagnosis wasn't a possibility for us. Luckily, we found Dr. Gibson. Dr. Gibson has helped Rue celebrate more birthdays, and because of this Rue continues to live her very best life with adventures all over Colorado, trips to the coast of Maine and the coast of Florida. You would never know that Rue had a "health issue" if you met her. She is now a spunky 9-year old, with no plans of slowing down. Under Dr. Gibson's care, Rue is THRIVING. Dr. Gibson has empowered us as Dog Parents. She calls us, emails us, and keeps us informed and up to date with each new re-test of her kidney numbers. She listens to our concerns, and has never once made us feel inferior, helpless, or hopeless. Rue has defied all odds against her, and we've actually seen numbers trend back in the healthy direction time and time again. I would encourage any Dog Parent to not wait, go see Dr. Gibson because it is so worth it. Every dollar we have spent at Animal Care Center of Castle Pines with Dr. Gibson, on supplements, medication, and healing devices like her DNA Vibe pictured, has been more than worth it. We could never thank Dr. Gibson enough or express enough of our gratitude to her. - Demie, Donnie & Rue Fultz"
"Our 8-year old husky Angel has struggled with digestive issues and chronic diarrhea for most of her life, and it seemed like we had tried everything to help her with no answers and no improvement (antibiotics, probiotics, allergy testing, prescription foods, homemade food, digestive enzymes, steroids, etc. etc.). We spent thousands of dollars for an internal medicine specialist who did many tests including radiographs and an abdominal ultrasound. Angel was diagnosed with "presumed IBD" or chronic enteropathy, but nothing our internist recommended was helping - in fact, it seemed like the diarrhea just kept getting worse and she continued to lose weight. We were told that since she was not responding to any of the prescription hydrolyzed diets or to prednisone, she likely had "unresponsive IBD" which does not have a good prognosis. Desperate to help her, I started researching holistic veterinarians in hopes that maybe an alternative therapy would be successful since the conventional IBD protocol had failed. Another local holistic vet recommended I reach out to Animal Care Center of Castle Pines, and specifically, Dr. Merry Gibson, for her expertise in gut health and nutrition and I was able to get an appointment for Angel the following week. At our appointment, it was clear that Dr. Gibson had taken the time to familiarize herself with Angel's case prior to our appointment. She listened to all my concerns and answered my questions in detail and I did not feel at all rushed or pressured into any additional testing. She recommended implementing slow changes one at a time so that we could be sure of what was working and what wasn't, starting with a diet change to a lightly cooked, limited ingredient diet and an herbal anti-diarrhea supplement. Over the next week as we slowly transitioned Angel to her new diet and gave her the supplement once/day, the diarrhea began to improve until it finally went away completely. Angel has now had normal poops for over a month (something we've never been able to say), is back to her ideal weight, and has tons of energy. We are amazed by these improvements in our dog and are so thankful that we found Dr. Gibson! If you are looking for a more integrative and open-minded approach to veterinary care for your pet, I highly recommended Dr. Gibson and Animal Care Center of Castle Pines!"
"Easy to get an appointment quickly! Friendly staff, extremely knowledgeable and well informed Vets & Techs who explain clearly to us lay people. Very kind and compassionate when we had to put our older dog down, and now so helpful with our new puppy. Thankful we found them!"
"From routine care, to illness or injury, to specialty care, this clinic is absolutely wonderful! Same day appointments are available for urgent matters and waits aren’t long for routine care. Treatment and testing options are also up to date and thoughtful of the animals wellbeing. The vets are well versed in behavior and take their time with nervous animals. Their prices are very fair for what they offer as well. I am so happy with this clinic!"
"My 2020 Review: We came to Animal Care Center of Castle Pines After Murphy was diagnosed with a lung tumor. We did not want to put him through chemotherapy as the two drugs that were recommended have horrible side effects. Murphy was given 1-3 months to live. We wanted him to have the highest quality of life for the time remaining. Our hope was to stay ahead of the decline curve and to try and keep him comfortable for as long as possible. Although it was a difficult pill to swallow, we were prepared to lose him. On our first visit, we met with Dr. Gibson and shared our expectations. We had already shared Murphy’s records to make her aware of his situation. A diet change from kibbles to raw was highly recommended. Murphy was prescribed some Chinese herbs, essential oils, turmeric powder (an antinflammitory), and immune system support powders. Only two very affordable medications were prescribed. We had a lengthy discussion about the use of the Sanawave machine. I was already a little familiar with the machine. It's a pulsed electromagnetic field device that uses hyperthermia to treat cancer. We also decided to give Murphy a few injections of iron nanoparticles to make the SanaWave therapy more effective. There are very few machines in use in the US. We felt very fortunate that one of them was in use at Animal Care Center of Castle Pines. The Sanawave does the following: 1) strips away the protein layer on tumors 2) energizes the immune system by helping cells create heat shock proteins (HSP) 3) organizes water in the body to remove dead cancer cells 4) reduces inflammation This is truly an amazing machine. We have been going for treatments since the end of February, 2020. After each six weeks of treatment, a cancer panel was run to check the progress of the treatments (a baseline test was run after our first visit). After the six weeks of treatments, the cancer panel showed a drop in the cancer marker and a huge drop in inflammation. We have seen a continued drop in the cancer index with six week period of the Sanawave treatments. As of July 24, 2020, Murphy is considered cancer free! No one has ever done this before, so we feel very fortunate to have Murphy under Dr. Gibson’s care. At this point, we feel Murphy is out of the woods so to speak and that we can shift to a maintenance mode. Murphy will need to be treated for life. The hope is to have one to two treatments per month. Dr. Gibson has been an absolute delight to work with. She has a cheerful disposition and is very compassionate. She is one of the brightest and most amazing vets that we have worked with. We’ve done a lot of testing on Murphy and each time we ask questions, she has answers and explains them in a way that is easily understood. 2023 Update: My boy is living a vibrant life thanks to the wonderful care from Dr. Gibson and the staff at ACC. Three years on and Murphy is doing exceptionally well, especially for a 17 year old! I am so grateful to Dr. Gibson and all of the staff at ACC. These folks work tirelessly to provide the needed care to our best friends. When I think about all that I have been through with Murphy, I get tears in my eyes. Thank you Dr. Gibson and all of the amazing staff at ACC. You all are truly a blessing"
