Hampton Inn Denver-West/Golden

"We had our wedding block at this hotel and we couldn't be more pleased with the exceptional service we received. The staff made the entire process easy and stress-free, making us feel truly cared for. Stephanie, in particular, went above and beyond to assist us with room reservations and much more. Her dedication and kindness made our experience truly memorable. The seating space in the lobby was perfect for our guests to gather, the pool was a hit with the kids, and the meeting rooms were exactly what we needed for our rehearsal dinner and getting ready space before the wedding. We highly recommend this hotel for any special event or stay. Thank you for making our wedding weekend so special!"

"The good: It's close to everything in Golden that you could want to do. Everything is like 10 minutes away at the most. Location is fantastic. The mall is nearby for shopping or food. Red Rocks isn't too far. The bad: not great. Breakfast is included. There's a Holiday Inn Express right across from this Hampton. People are always coming and going at all hours of the night, though in my case that may have been due to the snow and people hiking, hunting, or skiing/snowboarding nearby. Someone's kids were running around either next to or above me and it was infuriating. I could hear them and had to crank the white noise app on my phone to get to bed. Beds don't have bedbug covers, so check them before you lie down. And, the reason I am docking stars... the bathroom. So, my bathroom had a wannabe barn door and those are great when they work, but these had one that always got off track or misaligned when I moved it. That was annoying. There was rust in the bath/shower and on the floor of the tub (attached photos). Not a lot, but enough that it squicked me out because bathroom cleanliness is a big deal for me. It was cheap and I used it because my folks in Denver came down with COVID, so I couldn't spend the long weekend with them. That said, I'll be more critical next time and probably won't stay at this one. Someone else mentioned the trucks nearby and hearing them. Yes, you can, and I was right above the entrance to the hotel, so I heard them a lot."

"I asked for a nice quiet room for my one-year-old daughter so she can sleep throughout the night. They put us in a room next to an elevator. I said no can’t do that. So she put me in room for one. Right next to a utility closet that had an air compressor that kept going off throughout the night. Such a wonderful stay! Do you hear my sarcasm?"

"Mattress has a cloth cover that easily slips off but nothing waterproof and this doesn’t protect against bed bugs. Room not cleaned all the way, hair and debris in all corners of main room and bathroom. Run down fixtures. Hotel hallways have a terrible smell. They didn’t have any clean king beds but parking lot was not all the way full. Wet lobby from screaming running children and trash all over lobby. Terrible, could be nice but you can tell people are just too lazy to take better care of it and other people just let their children do whatever they want. Trashy. Dirty bed skirt!! (Looks like cum or a booger!)"

"Repeat guest here. This hotel does a really great job of providing a pleasant place to stay. Many thoughtful accommodations and nice little things that all make for a delightful, comfortable stay. The staff has been nice, the building is well cared for and breakfast is good. Keep it up! We look forward to staying with you again."
