"We always feel that the staff at Capitol Park (not just our kids' teachers, but everyone) really care about our children which makes it so much easier to leave them every morning. My baby and toddler are always excited when they see their teachers in the morning. The director has created a positive environment for kids to learn and thrive. Everyone has been very accommodating about any concerns or special circumstances that have come up. They say it takes a village and we are happy to have Capitol Park as part of ours."
"I have two children that are currently enrolled with capital park. I had never had any of my children in daycare because I have always been very unsure about other people caring for my children. I was especially nervous about my newborn, but the people of capital park are fantastic. They are patient, caring, and totally all about their job!!! They keep the facility clean, organized, and totally kid friendly. I love capital park and all of the wonderful employees!!!!"
"We recently started at Capitol Park Learning Center after being at another daycare that was not working for us. They have been great at helping my toddler through this transition phase. They are patient in the morning when we drop him off and by the evening when we pick him up he is smiling, giving staff and other kids hugs good bye and even make sure everyone get waved good bye to! I was surprised that after only a short time most of the staff (even the ones not usually in his room) know his name and he responds positively to them as well. I am very pleased with our decision to move to Capitol Park and I am excited to watch him grow."
"Coming to Capitol Park Early Learning Center has been the best thing for my baby girl. As a first time mom, you generally have no idea what you are doing, especially when it comes to selecting a daycare. We started at a daycare and didn't like it and then we got our opening at Capitol Park and we will never go any place again! Staff are friendly and accommodating (my baby has dairy allergies). The staff doesn't work there because it's their job, you can tell they work there because they love the children and it shows. I see the love, attention and guidance my daughter receives and it shows in her every day when she says a new word or learns a new way to do something. My daughter is smiling and playing when I drop her off in the morning and the same when I pick her up after work. Thank you so much to all of the staff for our wonderful experience."
"We LOVE Capitol Park Early Learning Center! My son has been attending Capitol Park since April 2016 when he was four months and is now joined by his little sister. You cannot beat the affordable prices (best in town for a center) and the convenient location being right off the interstate and close to downtown. I will admit that we weren't huge fans of the prior director, Gloria. In fact, we toured a couple other daycares but just didn't like the atmospheres and/or techniques and prices so we stayed and I'm so glad we did! Within a couple months Gloria had been let go and the new director, Shelly, took over. Shelly is fantastic! She is so personable, caring, genuine, and never above helping out wherever she is needed. Just last week when I arrived to pick up my children, she had my daughter (who I had been called about earlier in the day regarding her refusal to take her bottles due to teething) in her office, with the lights off, cuddled against her eating her bottle. My daughter's teachers had let Shelly know about her struggles that day, and Shelly went out of her way to figure out what my daughter needed in order to eat. It is those kinds of experiences here that make us love this daycare. I feel like ALL of the teachers, regardless of their assigned rooms, have that kind of dedication to the kids. We're always greeted by all employees we see, my kids always welcomed by name, even by the older rooms' teachers they haven't gotten to yet. I'm also very impressed with the daily curriculum. My son constantly surprises us with things he's learned, whether it's just singing certain songs, or working on colors, numbers, letters, etc. Prior to being verbal, he even surprised us with some sign language! I just feel like what they learn in this setting would never be beat by typical in-homes (or if I stayed home with them)! And lastly, I've always been impressed with the personalized attention. I always get to hear about my kids' days verbally and summarized on a written form. And beyond the daily grind, they really consider the individual rather than just following protocol when it comes to making changes. As an example, when my son was approaching the move to the next room, Shelly and his teachers actually coordinated to have him move with his two little buddies he's been around since the beginning, despite each being a couple months a part, to ensure the smoothest transition possible. We just really couldn't be happier with our experiences at Capitol Park - highly, highly recommend!"
