"First off this place was hell, I would get reprimanded for refusing to eat peanuts, I had to stay in my room for over half a month because I was being given food I was allergic to and throwing it up, and there was frost in my closet. I have officially been diagnosed with separation anxiety by my therapist. Don’t send your kid to this place."

"I'd be dead if I hadn't been admitted here, I stayed 6 months and left a much better person. Obviously not every staff member is perfect, but they're all working for the interest of the kids. I felt that every staff member truly cared for the kids there and wanted to help them."

"This place used to be great, but now they are hiring people with less than doctor degrees and no understanding of mental illness. If you do make an appointment here, make sure you do NOT get stuck with Terra Goldsberry. She has a habit of over-medicating and only "medicates for symptoms", while at the same time ignoring other doctors more qualified than her. She is only a PA, not a doctor, and has no right to override an actual doctor, yet she tries anyway. There are plenty of better places in Des Moines."
