"Why do you ask me if all the information is the same just to have me fill out forms that ask all the information that I just told you was the same??? Such a waste of time and paper! Wouldn't even come here if it wasn't where the employer likes to send random drug tests. At least they quit asking people to wear masks... only two years after everyone else!"
"This place is NOT the place to go if you've been injured. Doctor doesn't listen to what you're saying and wants to send you back to work with injury that is misdiagnosed so you don't "get lazy." Reception staff schedules appointments on different days of at different times then what you're told so you make pointless trips there. Ended up in the ER and found out things are way worse then a pulled muscle."
"Communication issues to say the least. I attempted to have a drug screening appointment set up but their phone would keeping hanging up on me during the teleprompter. I kept trying and eventually just called every day hoping to speak to a person. I tried to drive there to make an appt but someone yelled at me about having to call in for it. I was finally able to talk to someone on the phone just to have then patronizing sigh at every response I had. They scheduled me for an appt then hung up. I went there just to hear they had double booked it. 1 hour round trip btw. I asked them to reschedule me right now. They told me me to call. I sat in their office to call them but the same issue from above started you again. I was instructed to leave because I was taking so long. I left and have been calling every day. Finally got through to a person. When I told them how long it took to get on the phone, and that I was currently out of town, they tried to schedule me during a time I wasn't sure I'd be able to make. Then rushed to hang up on me. Hopefully there's not more to this story, waiting on my appointment now."
"The staff did not review what I needed for my pre-hire physical provided to them before I scheduled my appointment. Thus, I made the one hour trip one-way just to find out I had to come back the next day to get everything done. In addition, the first time I scheduled the appointment, the receptionist had double booked me on top of someone else's appointment and I had to reschedule. Also, the physical records were never sent to the company until after the company had notified me and I had to call them and make sure they sent the records. I also had paperwork trouble when I got there. The company had provided all of the paperwork that they wanted, but when I submitted it to the staff, they had no idea what most of it was for and could not answer my questions about it even though it seemed like standard health history information. As a result they had me re-fill out bits and pieces of it that they thought was necessary. In reference to the questions I asked, I never got an answer despite asking multiple times on separate occasions. I always got the answer that they would 'find out' but never received an answer. Originally the company wanted me to travel 5 hours to their nearest contracted health service company to do the physical and in retrospect it probably would have been easier to do that."
"Mercy Occupational Health is a nightmare. It's everything you hate about going to the doctor. The doctors are fine and competent. It's the staff that's the problem. From the moment you walk in every employee conveys an attitude that they don't want to be there and you being there is an annoyance as well. You arrive at your appointment time and are given a form to fill out. The pens all have things on them so you won't steal them. You notice on your form a time has been written in 20 minutes after your appointment time. You inquirer about this and are told “that's when you'll see the doctor”. Everything in this office is guided by the “20 minute rule”. If you come back for test results, to speak with someone or any interaction with anyone, you are required to wait in the waiting room twenty minute. In no uncertain terms the staff makes it clear that you are there to serve them and not the other way around."
