UI QuickCare – Old Capitol Town Center is a walk-in acute care clinic located at 201 South Clinton Street in Iowa City, Iowa. This clinic is available to anyone who is feeling unwell but does not require emergency room services or cannot get an immediate appointment with their regular doctor. No appointments are necessary at UI QuickCare, making it a convenient option for those in need of medical attention.
At this location, patients can also schedule appointments to see members of the Psychiatry team. However, walk-in visits are not available for psychiatric services and must be scheduled in advance.

Reviews
"Horrible experience! There were no patients in the waiting room, and after I was checked in I sat in the doctors office for an hour (I don’t think anyone knew I was in there) so I ended up leaving. Super angry I wasted even a minute of my life there and will never go again. So sense of urgency and in no way is this “quick” care."
"School required a doctor note so I Got a Covid test and later got a $600 bill!!!! I thought there were laws about no surprise billing. This is ridiculous for a test that cost $20 at the pharmacy."
"Got charged $1500 and waited for 2 and half hours. Got tests done, all negative and they still didn't know what was wrong with me. They told me the medication I was taking myself is a good way to cure myself"
"Went in for stomach issues, waited nearly 2 hours, and the nurse practitioner, Kendra Struck came in and directly asked me why I came into QuickCare and not another location. She also asked me if I was a student, and when I said I was, she proceeded to shame me for not going to another clinic as if I should've known that they couldn't help me at all, before printing out a web page and leaving. It was an incredibly unpleasant experience and Kendra was horrible and condescending. Just go somewhere else, these people do not want to help you."
"I made an appointment and still waited over an hour to be seen because the receptionist forgot to check me in when she literally told me she would. I was in the exam room for maybe 10 minutes, got a rapid strep test, and got billed over $400 a couple weeks later, which we couldn't dispute (this was with insurance, mind you). My family was able to cover it thankfully, but I can't imagine what I would've done if I'd been in a poor spot financially. They're also very invalidating and rude if you're a student. Go literally anywhere else."
