"If I could give Great Clips a negative rating, I would. I will never step into a Great Clips location again in my life time. Between every metro location, there is always incompetent stylists who can't cut hair or properly blend in a fade to save their lives. I've had so many messed up haircuts...I'm done. Done. You check in online, and then wait another hour + the approx waiting time given and every location is run down. Goodbye, and good riddance."

"I only come here when the Ankeny one is really backed up and I can hit meadows before to waste some time. I always regret it. They are ALWAYS off on their guess. Every great clips is a mixed bag obviously, but this one is bad."

"The hair stylist leaned on me the hole time and could not blend or fade out the lines on the side of my head. When I asker her to blend a little more for the third time she shave all the way to the top of my head. Now I have a foehawk. And I still have lines on the side of my head. She asked to blend my beard. I asked her not to touch my beard after the lack of skill level shown cutting my hair. She started combing my beard and then started cutting it. I went straight to Supercuts to have them fix the lines left in my head. Terrible experience."

"I went the first time in August and since then I've been back 3 more times Trying to get them to have my hair even and so that it didn't look so Puffy in the back. I got an inverted haircut which the manager called a stack and said it was her favorite one to do. I told her I want to keep the sides to my Shoulders but when I left It was to my chin. I called Headquarters and I was told it was independently owned and someone would call me back. Within the next day or 2 a woman called I believe her name was Nikki and ask when I first went in and I told her I believe September and she's like no it was August And proceeded to tell me that's normal time to get haircuts because of growth and I told her my biggest problem was not the amount of growth but How short the sides were when I asked for it to be to my shoulders. It was hard to get a word in edgewise with this woman, this was the rudest person I've ever spoke with and my daughter talked to her too and had the same problem with her being rude. She had me go to the one on the south side to try to appease me and even it up but there isn't anything you can do to replace the length. I won't ever go here again and I wouldn't recommend her to anyone. It ended up being over $65"

"I had to update my rating from 5 stars to two stars. I had a rude stylist help this time. Her demeanor and attitude made it seem like she didn't like her job, but had to work there. I told her what type of cut I wanted, she immediately acted like I was speaking a different language to her and she couldn't understand, yet proceeded to have this condescending tone when she was correcting me for the "proper names" of type of cuts and fades I wanted. Not here to bash on anyone,maybe she was having a hard day however, these people should also consider conversation etiquette or don't have a conversation at all. I'll definitely be back, I've had several good experiences here than anywhere else, and this still is the most convenient option for our busy schedules. My haircut was alright, I've had better but I've also had worse."
