"One of my most favorite places; my happy place. Small family owned and ran; very nice people. The food is always fresh, hot and deliceous. I have had everything on the menu and you can't go wrong. Reason we go few times a month (doesn't hurt they ate just arround the corner from our house either lol)"
"I cannot get enough of India Tadka. It's my favorite lunch spot in the area, hands down. I come here when I want flavorful, deliciously prepared homemade food and a quiet spot to enjoy it. I have never had rice that's prepared more perfectly than the long-grained basmati served here. Everything I order is vegetarian, and there is an endless variety of options. I've never had anything I did not 110% fall in love with. The food is not oily or greasy, like some Indian restaurants in the area. The tofu melts in your mouth, the paneer has the perfect texture, and every single dish is full of flavor. The chai tea is made per order and is quite delicious. Don't forget to get a side of homemade tamarind chutney. It's far better than the stuff you make from the concentrate purchased in Asian grocery stores! The charming woman who cooks all the food (yes, one person is responsible for all the cooking!) is kind and extremely attentive. It's truly like eating in your Indian grandmother's house. You feel cared for and un- rushed. We are so very lucky to have a family-owned, authentic place like this located in a strip mall in the western suburbs. I will be back again and again."
"This is one of my favorite restaurants. I've tried several different menu items, they were all delicious. I usually get take-out, but I've dined in also, and the service was very good."
"Perfectly prepared Shrimp - tender and juicy and not overdone - in the korma. Tender, sweet, flavor-packed Gulab jamin - a perfect dessert. This is not rich but more satisfying than a rich sweet. The savory and spicy samosas with a dipping sauce that is divine are amazing. Paneer tikka masala that is creamy and punches every good taste button in the mouth. The naan is great. Of note is how the rice is fragrant and fluffy, perfectly cooked and not sticky or gluey as in many takeout situations. I love that this is family owned. Beats most of the Indian food in the nation’s capital."
"Legit Indian experience. The food was very good. Many Indian dishes available. I had the Chicken Korma. My friend had Mango Chicken and Shrimp Tika Massala. Price per main dish is $16-20. Apps are $6-12. We came in a little later and stayed past closing. The staff was super friendly. We didn't feel rushed to get out of there. Even ordered dessert. They asked us what level of hotness weet wanted from 1-5. I picked 3 and it seemed mild. YMMV."
