"The rentals are overbooked per the agent that checked me in when I picked up the truck. The check in was fine. However, The office called me the first day around 3p and said my truck was late. The woman I spoke with was rude, stating I was late, and that I could not return the truck that night as the location was actually closed. I was not late. I was in within my contract time. However, she persisted and insisted that I bring the truck back the next morning by 8a. This was despite the truck not being empty yet and I had a contracted time for 2 days. The office broke my contracted time, charged me for two days when I could not have returned it anyway as the office was closed. Early the next morning I contacted U-Haul again, same location, I said I would not be done until noon. And that I wanted to return the truck at a different location closer to me. She said no. I ended up driving 15 miles more to drop the truck where she said I had to bring it. I also texted with 3 different customer service persons, and I used the U-Haul app to put in my request to change the location. All to no avail. I ended up bringing the truck back around 915a though after the fact, i received a message saying I could keep it until 12 PM. nobody bothered calling me and letting me know. So we rushed the process of getting the truck empty, refueled, and back before the end of my contracted time. I was very concerned they were going to charge my credit card more than authorized so I told them I would dispute any additional charges. I only used 36 miles though estimated 100 miles. The person that checked me in said because I only used the truck 24 hours that I would not be charged for the extra day. When I went to check out, of course it was different, and they charged me $10 more. I expect a refund of 15 miles mileage. I expect a refund of the 2nd rental day which I could not use because the location overbooked."
