Reviews
"Beautiful slice of paradise with kid friendly walking areas . Beautiful scenery and wildlife."
"Truly peaceful and beautiful, i love how well maintained its been throughout the years. You can see the beauty return after the fire from a couple years back. Blessings"
"A collection of short trails and intermittent and limited river access within brush and swamp terrain. Trails appear to be dry in deep summer and mucky in spring. At least one portion of a trail has an awkward log crossing over a creek. Not maintained very well and sometimes a little confining because of the brush."
"The Oxbow Nature Study Area is a great place for a short hike along the Truckee River. There are about 3/4 of a mile of trails in the area, a pond, some small wetlands, and views of the Truckee River. Best to visit in the spring when the landscape is vibrant."
"Entry level hiking and nature preserve. Not may trails but what you do see makes up for it. For one thing this place has a wonderful tree covered trail and looks like a tunnel of trees. Two things though. The Truckee river has often flooded this area so it's best to go two days after a flood unless you don't mind lots of mud and secondly sometimes this place attracts questionable people from the streets so it's best to go during the day with other people."
