"Allerton is a wonderful garden, and the tour is very historically interesting. However, the tour did not allow a ton of time to explore the garden, not many plants were labeled, and many of the garden areas seemed lacking- unfinished in design or execution. While I highly recommend Allerton and McBryde for a visit, they are not the "be all, end all" of tropical botanical gardens."

"We visited early March, near the end of the rainy season. We lucked out with no rain, but umbrellas are provided if needed. The tour begins and ends at the gift shop. You will be transported via shuttle bus 5-10 minutes down the road into the gardens. We opted for the docent-led tour, which I would recommend as you gain so much more insight into the reasons behind the design of each area of the garden. My words will not be able to describe the amazing views of this garden and the photos will only give you a small teaser. Make time for this excursion."

"This was such a great tour! The views, trees, plants, and gardens are already remarkable and absolutely breathtaking but Ron makes this whole tour even more fun and enjoyable! He is very knowledgeable but also very funny, charismatic and outgoing. We had many laughs which was not expected going to a garden tour! This was a pleasant surprise. It was a great length tour too. Only thing missing was that we forgot to take bug spray and got bit up but that’s ok :) Thank you Ron for an exceptional tour!"
