"I bank with Union Bank of California for my pension for the last 12 years not a single issue I had a problem with this bank not until my account was transferred to U.S. Bank. I am a U.S. retiree living permanently now in the Philippines. I called US Bank customer service when I was in Sparks, Nevada two weeks ago and explain my situation that my future withdrawals will be in the Philippines. I was in Sparks Nevada visited my relative. I returned to the Philippines on August 24 of this year. Guess what! I can't make withdrawals here in the philippines using my debit card. Very disappointing. I am now running out of cash. I can't call their customer service from my country my phone doesn't allow me to. Very, very disappointing. PLEASE HELP"

"I highly recommend you don't open up a checking account here : The 1st week was good and that's it. Tried to make a mobile deposit and U. S. bank completely locked myself out of my account entirely. I can't use my debt card nor make purchases online, buy gas or food. Open a new account get treated like a criminal automatically suspended for a deposit from grandpa. They say in a nut shell they are protecting themselves from fraud. I even offered to bring the the check in person, nope can't do that either in order to protect ourselves from fraud. When they have access to everything about myself and then some I'm still denied, locked out of my account for 7 days. I even went there in person to verify my identity and account when I opened it and had them fax documents to the state for me. This is how they treat new customers! Be forewarned! When I gain full access I will close us bank out. I will file a complaint with the federal reserve. This is unfair treatment, I can't buy food for my son, I can't buy gas for my car. Discrimination because I am a new account holder. You are under review for 60 days I found out. Do they tell you that at the time of opening? I don't think so! This is what you can expect if you open an account, well maybe unless you are rich!!! Oh yeah, and forget about the Xmas presents I was going to buy online for my boy! Thanks us bank for ruining Xmas day!"
